Extended slats bug has been there in FC in ages. This has been the main cause of them running out of fuel. SFM or PFM this has been there since long long time.
Open missile_data.lua from folder C:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Config\Weapons in notepad++. Search for R-27ER and change head_type from 6 to 2. 6 is semi-active radar homing and 2 is active radar.
Sure there is no altitude difference from in and out of cobra but that means altitude exactly before entering the cobra and altitude after exiting the cobra i.e. you are now at level flight and with most of the speed gained back.
I would take GG's word on anything because although he seems to know a lot he has been proved wrong a lot of times.
I wouldn't take his word because he used to say that as missile physics improve Aim-120 will become more effective and R-27's will have difficult time, and as missile physics has improve I see the opposite of that happening. Recently he was talking about wheel brakes of R-27 and was proved wrong. So i would say look for other sources GG isn't a source.
I have read that somewhere that R-27(E)R can be launched before lock, but I think there is very less time to lock the target or else the missile will be lost. Again there are videos that show that ER has a lofted trajectory but ED hasn't implemented it.
I have read somewhere that its trajectory depends on the interception situation. If the shot is long range then it has lofted trajectory and if its chose in it will fly straight to the target. And this even makes sense because the missile has inertial navigation. The reason given for taking off lofted trajectory was that its a SARH missile and so because it is constantly guided from the launch platform it has a straight trajectory.
There is a limit switch on the struts of the wheels, so when the struts are completely extended you can take the gear up, thats what happened here. You can't raise the gear if you are at stand still, I mean with struts compressed.
I think its not just about destroying F-16s and saving Su-25s. Su-25's shouldn't be fired up either as in that case they will jettison their stores and will RTB and not attack. Can't confirm though.
Pull a cobra and then push the stick full forward to get nose down and you will get inverted spin in DCS Flanker.
All aerodynamics aside this (DCS Flanker) isn't controlled by the laws of physics, it is controlled by the lots of equations programmer by Fighter Collection programmer.
But that does not explain the increase in rolling distance a 0 RPM. 250Kgpf is not less then 0 Kgf so rolling time for 0 RPM cannot be more then 69%RPM. It does not make sense.
Tire bust is animated in flight model but 3d model is not present. A fully inflated tire sinks in the ground and the plane runs rocking like it has busted a tire which actually is the case.
Three things happen when I pull a high G loop instantaneously in 34087
1) AOA warning comes up (buzzer)(master warning: file name)
2) Over G warning come up (nagging nadia)
3) When speed drops while coming out of the loop another warning comes up (like marble bouncing in a bottle)
Look at the rudder, I was just applying roll input but still rudders were moving.
Also, the landing light animation stays on even after gears are up. rudder.trk
