  1. Flaps stay in AUTO throughout the flight , even high alt cruise, other than AAR or certain emergencies which call for flaps to cruise.
  2. It's the water weight, not included in the empty weight in the rearm window
  3. I have reinstalled my DCS and my Jetpad seat doesn't work anymore. I have uninstalled simshaker for aviators and reinstalled it again but it still doesn't work. Any ideas what I'm missing? Did you get yours working? Sounds like I have the same problem EDIT: I fixed it by uninstalling SSA. I removed my old saved games DCS folder which SSA was defaulting to using. Then i installed SSA again and did a repair. When I started DCS again the vibrations didn't work initially but after about 20 seconds or so they started and all is fine now. I guess the software needs a bit of time to recognise the inputs before it works.
  4. When I do that the updater warning window comes up saying it cannot load autouodater.cfg and wont start the repair
  5. Unable to run a repair. When I try to start a repair the same JSON error comes up.
  6. The problem I had was that I would get this JSON error code even when trying to run a repair. I had renamed the saved games openbeta folder. I'll try again though.
  7. Hi BN, thanks for the quick reply. I tried the memory diagnostic test on the 2x32 gb ram sticks and that got stuck at 20%. So I reinstalled my old ram sticks which I know work well. I'll find the DCS log for ya. dcs.log
  8. I need help to get DCS running again. I bought new RAM and since installing it I was getting the BSOD. The RAM I bought is the same as my previous one G.SKill 3600 MHZ CL16 but instead of 2x16 Gb I upgraded to 2x32Gb. The 32 Gb sticks run at 1.45 V. I had XMP enabled and my motherboard is a MSI Tomahawk B450 Max. Anyhow, I was able to start DCS , load a mission, take off but as soon as I make a 180 degree turn I would get a BSOD. I tried reseating the RAM sticks. I tried running the memory diagnostic but that also crashed. The BSOD error codes were various ones including a Kernell one. I restarted again this morning to problem solve the issue, DCS would not start and I would get the crash log screen. I was able to start one other game so I thought maybe DCS needs a repair. Tried running the repair and that crashed with the dcs json error lexical error invalid char in JSON text error code. And now every time I try to repair or start DCS I get this error and it won't start. I have swapped my memory sticks back to my 2x16 gb ones but that hasn't fixed the error either. I tried renaming the Saved games folder but that doesn't make any difference. I tried removing the autoupdate.cfg file but then the game says it can't start because it hasn't got this file. I'm lost and haven't got a clue how to fix this. Any ideas? EDIT: I have added the previous crash log files for more info dcs.log-20230109-182930.zip dcs.log-20230109-194224.zip dcs.log-20230109-214003.zip dcs.log-20230109-214216.zip dcs.log-20230109-214537.zip dcs.log-20230109-214840.zip dcs.log-20230109-214946.zip dcs.log-20230109-215835.zip dcs.log-20230109-220241.zip dcs.log-20230110-093701.zip dcs.log-20230110-094003.zip dcs.log-20230110-095201.zip dcs.log-20230110-101346.zip
  9. Yep, I was an idiot. Turns out where I was flying had an elevation above 1900! Flew closer to sea level yesterday and the altimeter in the sight worked fine!
  10. Ok but I had 1900 displayed even when I was well below 1900 agl. It displays 1900 on the ground even.
  11. Sorry if this has been explained somewhere but I have been searching for a while now with no answer.... but... Can someone please tell me why the altitude on the HUD/sight head seems to be stuck on 1900? It does not move at all no matter what my altitude. Did I forget to select something or flick a switch? Many thanks
  12. Viper, where do you get the black brush thingies from that you put in the throttle lever gap?
  13. Hi guys, Just curious, are there any bombing/weapons ranges on this map in real life or DCS? I would assume there are but a quick look on google maps didn't show anything.
  14. Snoopy, have you tried redoing the FCF with the A-10 lately? I'm just curious what state the module is in and how many features are missing or how many bugs there are.
  15. Fascinating! THanks for these pics. So that also confirms that the oxy gauge (discussed in another thread) isn't next to the fuel gauge anymore either in the B model.
  16. Apologies if this has been discussed before , I didn't see it mentioned before though. Can someone tell me why in the Heatblur F14 the G meter is located next to the fuel gauge as opposed to next to the SAI above the radio panel? From looking at pictures the Oxy qty gauge should be next to the fuel gauge and G meter in the above mentioned location.
  17. I am finding it very hard to read the caution panel with my Reverb VR headset. I installed this mod but it's a bit too overdone and looks a bit too gimmicky: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3313661/ Does anybody know of any other mods that improve the cockpit textures a bit to make them more readable when flying in VR?
  18. Has anybody here tried to fit this nozzle mod onto the WinWing Orion throttle? The throttles are almost identical in height but obviously the bottom is different, just wondering if the mod can be amended to work with the Orion?
  19. Does anybody have the real pilot training syllabus from the FRS or know where to find one? I'm basically looking for a document that outlines what sorties were flown (sim and/or real flights) to learn the F14. The course title is "D-2A-1601 , F-14 Pilot Category 1".
  20. Cool thanks. Overall, are ther still many features missing on the Tomcat or is it mostly complete? I would be interested if I could follow the NATOPS manual procedures and not have to skip stuff or compromise.
  21. Have any of these tests been added since? I'm not familiar with the Tomcat
  22. Has the Oxy qty indicator been added since this post? I have not been able to find it
  23. Thanks again for your help! I got it done and my lever is way better now!!
