  1. My answers in Green I guess you have clicked this button to switch to opencomposite! null
  2. You do that by forcing DCS to start with steamVR option(either by using the parameter —force_steam_VR or Skatezilla update utility). WMR is not required for Oculus thus you use the Oculus OpenXR @OutlawOculus App settings General tab
  3. Tested with both Mirage over Chile/Argentina low and high level and Huey over Falklands. Frames were mostly at max available (72 @72hz Oculus) It drops in populated areas but never below 36. A lot more stable compared to Mariannas and close to Syria in performance. Obviously there are textures of lower quality but is a vast map and in EA. I love the diverse scenery and the colors. I still need to see how the map behaves under heavy stress in a multiplayer Overall happy customer!
  4. Obviously the question is not what method of supersampling is used (I personally have PD 1.0 and use ODT or OTT for Oculus if I need to increase it) but if PD is working as supposed to and if the issue is with specific API like it seems to be with Oculus.
  5. It's not working on my side too with Oculus API. No difference in graphics or performance. For some reason seems to work when using OpenComposite (OpenXR) Graphs below are: 1. with PD 1.6 2. with PD1.0 null
  6. OpenXR is usually set in Oculus SW. It’s one of the questions asked during installation if I remember, otherwise you can set it in settings. Opencomposite does NOT negate the use of oculus software. It’s just a layer to make Oculus work without SteamVR while using OpenXR. Settings in Oculus SW is up to your liking and your system performance limitations
  7. @VirusAM I have posted this guide over on Discord when I was using it succesfully. Steps for Quest 2 users: Read the instructions as a generic guide (don't bother with WMR ones) from https://forum.dcs.world/topic/295123-update-155-final-openxr-guide-for-wmr-headsets/ You can download OpenXR tools for Windows Mixed Reality and WMR but they are not affecting the Oculus setup, as Oculus is used as the OpenXR runtime Also NOTE DCS PD should be at 1.0 A. Download OpenComposite: https://gitlab.com/znixian/OpenOVR/-/tree/openxr - scroll down to 'System Wide Installation' and click download link titled 'OpenComposite Launcher' Extract the folder and put it somewhere safe (eg. Desktop or Documents folder) Run OpenComposite.exe (A small number people reported that they needed to right click 'run as Admin') B. Delete/Rename your D3DCompiler_47.dll inside the Bin folder of your DCS Install (eg D3DCompiler_47dll.orig) C. Download this openvr_api.dll https://znix.xyz/OpenComposite/download.php?arch=x64&branch=openxr and replace the one in your bin folder of your DCS Install NOTE: for steps B and C you can also create an OVGME setup to make sure it works every time after DCS updates. D. Set runtime to OpenComposite (Which connects to OpenXR) - On first startup it needs to download DLL's. Wait for that to complete before going to the next step. NOTE: The app configuration screenshot below is post DCS launch. Initially, you will likely see a blank page. This is normal. E. Download OpenXR Toolkit: https://mbucchia.github.io/OpenXR-Toolkit/ Install and launch Launch DCS then CTRL+F2 (or whatever keystroke you've setup inside the toolkit) the menu will only appear inside VR NOTE: If you had used OpenXR before, then delete opencomposite.ini from DCS folder
  8. OpenXR 0.6.3 works perfectly with OpenXR toolkit 1.1.0 in DCS with Quest2. The latest OpenComposite version of OpenXR is not yet working with OpenXR toolkit . The Devs will soon provide an update to resolve the issue.
  9. Thanks. You still have to wait for fxo rebuild.
  10. So you keep from Taz's version only the deferred folder with _helper.hlsl & _HMD.hlsl and model folder with only diffuse.hlsl?
  11. CapframeX is a good tool
  12. I see the problem. I tried it alone. Thanks @Taz1004
  13. Hi @Taz1004 Is the NVG clear version still working with 2.7.11 cause it failed on me yesterday?
  14. Seems you are using an old version
  15. Yes you can. If you search for my posts in the OpenXR thread you will see the steps.
  16. As far as I know DCS can be moved from disk to disk without need for reinstall
  17. As a user of a gaming laptop (i7 9750 and RTX 2060, 32Gb and DCS on SSD, though) and Quest 2, I agree with SoH statements and suggest also to use initially DCS PD 1.0 and default suggestion of Oculus app for resolution at 72hz. Try also with preset DCS VR settings. And stay away from SteamVR, it uses too much memory for no apparent benefit compared to Oculus connection. After all Oculus directly supports DCS.
  18. Your target which is a DL track is at 25k and your radar antenna is looking 5-11. Unless you get your antenna elevation to the right place your radar will never see the target.
  19. Unfortunately I can't provide directions for Steam installation as I use the standalone version. OpenXR toolkit works in my case only when SteamVR api is used. I don't know how Steam works with DCS and api.
  20. It as simple as copying the 3 files mentioned below: Download latest release (not source files) of OpenComposite here: https://gitlab.com/Jabbah/open-composite-acc/-/releases - extract the following to the bin folder of your DCS installation openvr_api, opencomposite, D3DCompiler_47 (the files – NOT folders) and then launch DCS through Skatezilla's app with SteamVR api instead of Oculus. OpenXR toolkit is optional: Download this: https://mbucchia.github.io/OpenXR-Toolkit/ Install and launch (I have ticked the experimental settings) Launch DCS then CTRL+F2 (or whatever keystroke you've setup inside the toolkit - it will only be visible inside VR. If the menu is too large go to the right most tab and adjust the offset)
  21. I can only concur with @Hoirtel on the improvements made lately by Oculus. I can enjoy VR with my Quest2 even though my rig is a gaming laptop with rtx2060. (and of course I'm staying far far away from SteamVR!)
  22. I have applied your profile. How do you reset to default profile, so I can quickly check the difference?
  23. Yes it is on, that's how I can see it. Problem is it doesn't give options in the pull down menu. Its only 0s. But reading the last few responses in the thread it seems that one is not needed. Does it matter what settings you have in textures or shadows to see any noticeable difference?
  24. Same here, the first one RHWLessAtScreenLess doesn't give any option other than 0s
