So I followed youtube videos on how to boresight the mavericks. was an online map, so no track available. jet is hot on startup, but last time I didn't bsgt, I was WAY off and was unable to bsgt them up in the air. next start up, I pick a vehicle about a mile away. put the TGP on it, then slew mavericks to it (both stations) and all seems well. I go up and fly, about 10 miles from target and closing in fast. one of the stations was WAY off. I step over to the other rack and that one was ok and I was able to hand-off successfully. I tried to bsgt from the air hoping I can re-do it but everytime I tms up and switch over SOI to mavs, i would undesignate (the crosshairs disappear) whatever it attempted to lock on and lock on the same thing, but instead of getting the crosshairs as lock, the crosshairs disappear and BSGT button isn't there. so then I said forget it and went into VIS mode and try to do it myself manually, but I can't figure out how to ground stabilize the maverick, so it's going all over the place and just can't get a lock. I enjoy using the fire and forget mavericks, but with this jet I'm having a tough time. any ideas? I can make a mission with cold start, so I can get a track file possibly.

Unless you maintain a solid hover with no vertical or horizontal movement, George can not hit his targets. That AI has wasted so many missiles, that sometimes I had to resort to jumping into the front and track the targets myself. Even when flying straight towards the a target he will miss if there is a slight climb or descent. George is just too with the sensor to maintain a track on target. I expect him to miss when I'm having trouble maintaining a hover, but not when the movements are smooth and subtle. Send George back to weapons training school.

Hi, recently I created a multiplayer server with my friend (whom was in an F16) and discovered that when he is locking on or even tracking, the tone nor display fails to update/create sound. I am given a warning when my radar detects him, but other than that, absolutely blank. I'm not sure if this is known, but it is ruining the multiplayer dogfight experience with friends for me at the moment. I have followed countless tutorials on how to set everything up, all buttons pushed correctly and same with settings (as it says on the EW), however it still fails to receive. Please see details below MAP - MARIANAS (however I have experienced this on Caucaus, too) SERVER - MISSION EDITOR CREATED, BASIC 2 FIGHTER SETUP WITH ADEQUATE LOADOUT. MISSON - FREE FLIGHT/MISSION EDITOR BASIC SETUP SYSTEM SPECS - RTX 3060, RYZEN 5 5600X 6 CORE PROCESSOR, 16GB RAM, 1.2TB STORAGE, WINDOWS 11. If any more needed, please say CONNECTED DEVICES - LOGITECH G502, THRUSTMASTER HOTAS T16000M THROTTLE+STICK, HEADSET, KEYBOARD ETC SCREENSHOTS OF BUG: ATTACHED On the screenshot, you can clearly see that I have the ALR-67 set to 'RCV' and the ALE-47 set to 'STBY'. Even when I change the ALE-47 to another setting, it still does not work. ASPJ is 'REC' which is normal, and information is displayed on my HUD yet still fails to give me information on when the bandit is engaging. Next, you can see my ECM control panel. I have set this up correctly, with ECM set to REC, and the panel being ON. Therefore, all options have been distinguished and I am not sure on what to do next. I know the multiplayer experience with the hornet is a bit buggy at the moment, but please tell me if this is simply my error, or a game bug. Thanks, zfoxy

Hi, It's quite odd that F-16 does not showing targets on FCR screen. although it's shown in HSD Screen. Not even friendly targets. It occasionally shows non-IFFed targets(White box). It used to work great. Any thoughts? I've tried clean reinstall of Windows. did not work. I think it started since I used Multi Threading. Is this known bug?

Flying cold start mission on Supercarrier. All switches and procedures followed with wings folded. I pull plane to heat ramp behind catapult 2. I wait and wait and ground crew will not recognizes that I am waiting for direction to extend wings and pull forward to shuttle. Even if I pull up to shuttle and engage launch bar , crew still never recognizes that I am there and waiting for direction. What am I missing?

Since the last Beta update, I cannot communicate with ATC, Ground Crew, etc. via the comms menu button \ in the F-16. Nothing appears on the screen. This applies to MT as well as beta release. I cannot be certain if the issue has anything to do with the latest update. I ran a repair and clean, and the issue persists. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated

I know it sounds crazy, but my RWR volume is so low I can hardly hear it. This problem started before a reformat that was long overdue for many reasons. Since the fresh reformat, the problem persists. I am using An Arctic Nova Pro Headset in case that could be a cause. I have a volume axis assigned to a peripheral and I verify in the cockpit that the nob is all the way to the plus sign. I have messed with the sound volumes in the options and the only thing that helps a little is checking “Hear Like in Helmet.” I can hear the AI when I call for AAR and I can hear the RALT warning when I go below the set altitude. Any advice on this would be fantastic as I need the audio warning so I don’t blow up lol.

Usually I just push the T/O trim button during cold startup on the carrier and ignore the recommended trim per weight, since the plane doesn't really seem to have any trouble launching at 12 degrees even with a full loadout. However, I have recently been getting the annoying "CHECK TRIM" warning on my left DDI after takeoff, and every time I spool up the engines, even 30+ minutes after launching, I get a master warning light and beeping. Flaps being set to auto doesn't seem to matter. So, I decided that from now on, maybe I'll start doing things by the book and trimming the aircraft correctly per weight for launch. Here's the problem I am having now - While hooked up on the catapult, I use my trim hat to pull the flaps back to 16 degrees, referencing the checklist DDI page. It seems to take a weirdly long time for the flaps to move from 12 to 16, holding back on the trim hat, but whatever I guess. Then comes the real issue. I launch from the cat, and the jet immediately wants to pitch up really hard, so I have to press hard nose down to keep it level. And at this point, even when I flip the flaps switch to auto, the jet continues pitching up. Like my trim will not go back to neutral, whether I set the flaps switch to auto, press FCS reset or a key that I bound to trim reset... the trim wont change. I am sure I'm doing something wrong here, can someone figure out what my problem is?

Hi had a strange one and first time i had this failure if it is or a bug? Started my mission as usual in the retribution liberation mission in the dcs open beta server, loaded on carrier turned on battery switch as normal and then tried to turn on the apu switch where it would not engage. Tried a few times but to no avail. Than i noticed the fire discharged light was showing amber rdy light so this was the issue. Was wondering on how to clear this since had to exit out and reload back in with no issues

Hi pilots. I checked the other dicussion about this but I cant use gbus properly. I think only the 20% of attemps are positive. I tried with and without Autopilot following the heading and other methods of the discussion. I have not clear what is the right altitud and procedures. Will it be solved in the future?

cannot reproduce and missing track file F-18 Radar Issues?
HoBGoBLiNzx3 posted a topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Anyone having any issues? TWS/RWS, even on spot mode I won't get a brick unless within 20km. I have to use LHQC (that won't lock directly in front of hud either) Radar elevation is right on, aspect is correct, even radar cross section, and aircraft size is correct. Literally wont get bricks within visual range.. They randomly decide to hit, generally at very close ranges. The Hornet radar seems to have a mind of it's own. F-14, F-16, none of them have this issue. I won't even get bricks until I'm getting RWR warnings on pitbulled missles. -
I’m not sure if this was discussed previously, so I apologize, I couldn’t find it. Has anyone had instances where targeting ground unit with T-pod, dropping a Jdam, slewing and targeting a new target close by, and dropping a second bomb, both will hit the 1st target only and completely miss the 2nd? Is there a subtle thing I’m doing wrong? It doesn’t seem consistent, perhaps 25%-50% of the time. thank you

I'm having a hell of a time with the hmd. In Hacq or Lhaq. On practice missions it seems to work fine, but in GS (Multiplayer) I can look right at the target and it doesn't lock. (I know.. track file. I'll have to find one) Sometimes where it identifies the "bad guy" is no where near the actual plane. However, it will not lock on the plane Anyone else having difficulty? I have increased my track age to 32. 4bar 140. (I don't think that has anything to do with HMD) since it reverts back to 1bar. Thoughts

Weird A-A radar issue, F-18 first flight of the night, a-a could barely pickup aircraft right in front, came back after sortie, next group of aircraft I came across, the radar picked them up without radar hassle. Does the F-18 radar need the nav GPS system re-initialized, if it does that? in other words, without getting a new aircraft, should I reset it back on the ground? note: I don't move the aircraft until it is ready to go. Maybe it wasn't really ready to go?

I'm just now learning how to use the ICLS in the F-18 for carrier landings. I'm able to get the appropriate channel and the ICLS indicators/bars (I don't know the technical term) show up on the HUD but they don't move. No matter how I'm lined up, it always shows that I'm below the glide slope and to the left. This has happened on Marianas Free Flight/Case 1 Recovery as well as Create a Mission after I correctly assigned an ILS channel for my carrier. What am I missing? Is anyone else experiencing this? Does ICLS only work when you are at a certain range? Am I too close to the carrier and assuming it should work (lining up 2-3 miles on final approach)?

cannot reproduce and missing track file Turbulence breaking wings
Biga42 posted a topic in DCS: F/A-18C
At 1X1 mission dogfight against a SU-30 when I am getting the wake turbulence from its jet outlet I got my F18 wing broke. Is it normal? It happened more then once.
