A question to Yo-Yo:

does Su-27 flight dynamics is comparable to Su-33 envelope? Canard make big difference?

Thanks in advance!

Doubt it, they are not Aerodynamically the same.

Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2),

ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9)

I think a canard would make a big difference considering that the lift ouput increases with AoA. You will notice though that as AoA increases the canard starts deflecting down so that it doesn't stall or something like that....Aerodynamics brains feel free to correct me where im wrong.

The canard go down when aoa increase yesss, this is to keep the canards to the wind and then the lift is better with lower speed, also you can have more aoa , with that the su 33 can take off with less distance (Kuz).

But in fight its like airbrakes, the SU 27 take off longer but its much more better in fight.:smartass:

Canards give the plane negative pitch stability, that is a pretty significant change.

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

As far as the Su-33 is concerned there are two limitations at least: g-load and angle of attack. Canards are good but 8g limit (as opposed to Su-27´s 9g) might play the key role for flight dynamics.

I think for development, the work they are doing with the Su-27 and F-15C will build a strong foundation for all future FMs, but as far as the technical data, testing, and such, I am sure there are major differences and challenges like any other aircraft.

They gave us an update about Su-27 AFM not long ago, more recent than the F-15 one. Search is your friend. :)

At this time either FM could be released first. Its a close horse race.

wow what a landing challange! i wish they improve the force feedback landing and take off effects for ffb joysticks. ground ffb effects are missing on dcs series.

Planes with servo actuated control surfaces usually do not have force feedback, so why should ED add one?

because its meant to make you feel on the hands what normally you feel with your butt. :)

So get your GF to spank you when you touch down. ;)

It was a conscious decision not to do it so it is very unlikely it's going to come.

i wished that because i use to it on fsx. and there is good applications for it like fsforce program. little buzz runaway effect could be cool!

anyway thanks for answers.:)
