VSN AdA Mod

Recommended Posts

The Boeing 707. Been looking at an RAAF skin for that and noticed that the Port Wing light is not working, the Starboard one is okay.

Port = Left Wing Red Light for you non nautical types !!

No big deal, fix it if and when you have time.

It can't get fixed since it doesn't work with the original neither...

Hey guys, great mod I'm having a blast with some new friends for my F-5E and MiG-21 to play with. One minor issue though, none of the aircraft have a functioning Red navigation light... All of the others work perfectly.

sorry no red bano

There is now a new version: 1.5.4.04

And now you can select your avionics with a .CMD program, description of how to use it is near download links, if you have questions, post them and we'll try to help

so i stuck the unzipped folder in mods/aircraft, not sure what to do after that? tried looking in the readme but couldn't figure it out :(

Acer Predator Triton 700 || i7-7700HQ || 512GB SSD || 32GB RAM || GTX1080 Max-Q || FFB II and Thrustmaster TWCS Throttle || All DCS Modules

There are 4 .cmd files

F-15C and Su-27 means the cockpit and the Avionics for the AA planes

A-10A and Su-25T means the Avionics which the AG planes will have

Now you can choose which cockpit and avionic you want to have and then you can run the .cmd

and then put it in your mods folder

The readme is like the first post, but in german

Can someone please fix the F-18 models D, E and F. They are in game but you cant see them when you go to pick skins....Id would have rather had the old version of 1.54 then 1.55 if I was going to give this all up. This sucks. Someone please fix it. Thanks.

Changes are coming, Newsletters are stating PBR and New Lighting etc.

With those Changes the Models need to be Exported using the newer Exporter Plugins from 3DS Max,

You cant use the same converted FC2 models indefinitely, they need to be re-exported w/ the new properties for the new lighting etc etc.

Skate is it possible that we can get those changed over. I only fly this game cause of those planes. Without them then I may as well move on to another flight sim. There are some VSN models working like the F-16, F-15E, F-18 A, C, F-4 and F-5...I only fly the F-18 to be honest. Thanks

Those Models work because they use ED's Stock EDM Files.

F/A-18E,F and others that show invisible are not part of DCS and whoever has the source max files needs to export them from 3D Studio using the newer exporter.

Problem is there's alot of models Floating around from the FC2 Era that were converted to EDM in the early days of DCS World, which is no longer possible.

As Stated before,

This is not a DCS Issue, it's the 3rd Party's Responsibility to Update and Maintain their Mods, Not Eagle Dynamics.

I would gladly do it if I knew how. There still should be an option to keep the version you have without having to update automatically. I would have stayed at the 1.54 version. Is there a way to shutoff auto updates I dont want them. Id rather wait. How can I get back to version 1.5.4 then. I dont care if I have to reinstall the whole dam game. This suck not being able to have the only planes I fly in this game.

yeah, dont click on the run.exe, or dcs_updater.exe, launch DCS directly from dcs.exe.

The roll back answer was given in your other thread.

Got it Im all set. I don't plan on ever updating my 1.5.4 version again. Ill keep my 2.0 and use that install for future. Thanks

Today's 2.0 Update integrates the same changes that 1.5.5 has, so 2.0.5+ will render the VSN AdA Mod un-usable as well.

Do you know if the original authors can recompile to DCS 2.1 standards or this mod is lost forever?

You need to hire a veteran DCSW expert or a team who can easily achieve your goal. (With their 15+ yrs DCS & LOMAC experiences)

They are not only 3Dmodellers, designers, modders, hackers or arists. Much more than that but all DCSW-specific specialist.

Not a free but a quick and accurate solution. Maybe you can get some quantitative discount from their fees if you need multiple models or maps.

(Don't want to piss you off but they already made several detailed maps which are already used under 2.1+ eke - Certainly for private use)

Model conversion with updating LODs, animations, visibilities, making it to PBR shader friendly for 2.1 is cheap, perhaps.

AFAIK they can correct and upgrade the 3D model or add special effect too, such as wing and fuselage flex with vapour effects, detailed damage modeling, volumetric spotlights and burners, unique explosions etc. but those are for custom fees.

May the THRUST be with you
