Udat Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 (edited) About the knobs, I think the edges could be a bit sharper. Darker shadows in the crevices might help? Additionally, the lower right knob looks a tad sharper at the bottom than the two to the left, wich looks a bit fuzzy in comparizon. Hmm one more thing, might there be a way to color the flip-switches to look a bit more metallic (unless they aren't offcourse?) Brit_Radar_Dude Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 @Brit_Radar_Dude: I fixed the transponder code to something more realistic for you! Now we're cooking! Nice job Aero..... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Sorry Death, you lose! It was Professor Plum....
Aeroscout Posted April 2, 2010 Author Posted April 2, 2010 (edited) Still working on this HUD control is finished... ...with lights... ...along with the gear panel and the two things to the right of it, and the hook panel, which is not visible, but may be with a lot of 6DOF movement. Here's the update to download... http://download231.mediafire.com/ge91wyzgj5eg/zyymrjjwzmm/Aero+F-15+Cockpit+update+4-2-10.zip (Not a modman pack, just drop it in your temp textures folder.) And, It works in FC 2.0 no problem (not that I expected one). Enjoy! VSD and TEWS are next... Aeroscout Posted April 12, 2010 Author Posted April 12, 2010 (edited) TEWS finished. I'll try to see if I can get around to doing the VSD soon so it won't look too out of place. I really hope people are enjoying these... It ain't Ricardo quality, but I hope it's better than stock. :( Drop the texture in your temp textures folder as always. Ven Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 That's a great work Aero and could you put all the links to your textures in one place? I did search all the posts in here but I'm not sure if I got all of them.

thaFunkster Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 (edited) Looking good indeed. Blue or Red makes no diff to me, but the blue you already have there sure looks nice. -- Do you have to download one instrument at a time, or would it be possible to have them all in one package? John Banks Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 I hope you make two versions of the cockpit lights. I would like to keep the default red lights, as that is what the real bird features as well.

RvEFuSiOn Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Aero i love your mod however i don't like the lighting much. Is there a way you could make a version like Like Archer's night version with the white lights (looks very realistic). Right now as it stands your cockpit looks best but his lights look nicer IMO. So i thought to get the best of both worlds id suggest this. Peace
104th_Crunch Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 I think that every person wile have a preference for night light colour of gauges and it will be too hard for Aero to please everyone. What we need is realistic colour use and Aero has decided to go with the colour that comes with Lock On. Anyone have any F-15 cockpit pictures in the dark with night lighting on?

I think that every person wile have a preference for night light colour of gauges and it will be too hard for Aero to please everyone. What we need is realistic colour use and Aero has decided to go with the colour that comes with Lock On. Yes, realism comes first. I originally went with blue as that was similar to what Ricardo was doing. However, I believe red is the most realistic color as it will not affect a pilot's vision during night operations as much. However, I am also almost certain there are settings for NVGs as well (green lights). Unfortunately, you cannot do both at the same time. However, A simple hue change can be done to the night textures to make it green, yellow, even pink if you so desired. This can be done easily in photoshop, GIMP or similar software. Anyone have any F-15 cockpit pictures in the dark with night lighting on?That would be awesome. I was recently forced to re-install windows. I have the files I was working on saved, so all is good. I should get back to work kinda soon. Mustang Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 This photo is the only picture i've ever seen of the F-15 cockpit in low-light conditions, it's pretty well known. I think the lights you see in that photo are indicative of the rest of the lights in the pit.
*Rage* Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Aero do you think you could update the original post with links to your downloads and installation instructions? This looks fantastic. What else is left to do? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 64th "Scorpions" Aggressor Squadron Discord: 64th Aggressor Squadron TS: 195.201.110.22
rattler Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Then this would mean that all gauge lights are white. which has been done as pointed out. Only gear lights, warning lights and similar are of different colors. which I believe are already done for those in the original files. Correct me please if I am wrong. Aero , wonderful work and looking forward to more. Cheers.:thumbup:

Aeroscout Posted June 19, 2010 Author Posted June 19, 2010 Ok, I've been working on the VSD for the past couple nights, a few hours at a time. This is what I have so far: You likes? I figured out a new technique for the twist knobs. Almost makes me want to go back and fix all the other knobs I've done.
