Refuelling

Hi,

There is a problem with A2A refuel, when i make precontact the S-3 goes from 220 to 350 knots so by the time I've caught up again to try and dock with the probe I get a warning to pre-contact again then the S-3 slows back down to 220 again .

I have no problems with other aircrafts , only with M2000.

Noticed the same strange behavior of Viking and IL-78.

In the mission editor advanced waypoints have you checked the average airspeed of the tanker compared to the main speed that you enter? It can quite often be very different

I noticed that speed change also. The only temporary solution I found was to place the IL-78 tanker high up like 25K ft and at 800 km/h. At that altitude the tanker cannot speed up more than 600 km/h indicated so refueling will be easier.

There is already a thread in the 1.5.x bug section. Seems that even speed values under "advanced options" don't work as supposed to be.

Yup, this isn't an M-2000C bug, it is DCS.

Confirmed Refueler is WANKERED

Watched a 1/2 doz+ guys in Mirage trying to refuel,on server yesterday.. Every single time pre-contct made (baskett deployed), that F in refueler would speed up 40=knts then hit brakes if Mirage didn't keep up, PATHETIC bug 4 a 10 year old sim.

I've tried multiple combinations including M-2000c/Su-33/IL-78/S-3B.

Nothing wrong when using the Sukhoi. But weird speed increase bug when using the Mirage.

This is the mission I always play on and I kinda did some new ideas on so it's little bit of a mess but you can still refuel

I don't really have issues with the acceleration, or at least i don't notice it

Tried it yesterday.

Same problem, pre-contact at 250kn, then need to go full Afterburner to keep up with the tanker.

Then there was a turn so got a return precontact et... voilaaaaa, back to 250kn as I was full A/B :D

edit : BTW being full A/B to refuel is a total non sens :O

I was even able to reproduce the speeding up with the KC-135. *cough*

(yes, it's possible to take fuel from a boom..)

Ended up refueling at Mach .8

Nothing like this happened to me in other planes like the F-15C or A-10C

Could someone with this issue post a mission file where it occurs? Preferably as minimal as possible.

I could reproduce it with any mission I created with 1.5.3. Also reproducible on the Virtual Aerobatics MP server, didn't do Mirage AAR on any other server as of now.

Refueling seems to generate start refuel/stop refuel events continuously (this is in 1.5.3, using an IL-76).

I also find that exiting the simulator to the menu just hangs sometimes, not 100% sure it's related to this 'event spam'.

Also aside from the speed issue I'm finding that as soon as I make a connection the tanker disconnects. Is anybody else having this, is it a problem, or am I just hitting the basket too fast?

leads me to the next question :)

I have noticed in the manual it says about a relueling switch, can you inform me where it is as I cant find it in the manual and ive looked in the controls menu.
