Where is the natural effect of the sun?

Size or coloration does not resemble the sun, but rather the full moon.

The other modules are fine.

Again the extreme defect, that should be addressed immediately by hotfix.

Why so visible defects takes to fix such a long time?

I noticed this too. It's like they implemented sun glare but in a weird way.

Good to see it's reported. But as it's not fixed yet, here are two more examples - one with the sun disc shining through the wing, another through the instruments. In both cases the sun is in the direction of view, so those are not reflections.

We are now September, coming up two months after this was reported, and this problem persists. This is starting to get beyond silly.

At least fixed for the Mig-21 so this is fixeable.

Instead of removing the serious critical defects of the sun, was preferred :( racing circuit F1 to the Persian Gulf.

huge white sun glare GLOW

hello, this is my favorite warbird all times.

but this bug is a little annoying to the immersion...

this huge white glow in the sun inside the cockpit view. see in screenshots.... this bug happens only inside the cockpit, exterior view the sun glare is perfect. i think, have this bug only in the Spitfire and the Viggen...

maybe is related,

in the open cockpit window, still, have the glass reflection on ...strange.

Reported since July 2018. 5 months ago.

I think this has been fixed in the Viggen in the recent pactehs fro 2.5 Open Beta. The spitfire remains a faulty propduct in this respect.

Its my personal way to disagree with the decision about deleting all free mods threads.

Only a personal choice. Some will find it wrong but is my decision to do so.

for me, ESAC solution it works in the harrier.

in the SPITFIRE, i think i am doing something wrong, changing the file/zip texture.

In the VIGGEN is still wrong, even after the ED/heatblur update .

Hi mate.

I've send you two files. The BUMP one is for the Harrier and there is another for the Spitfire, a different one. Do not use the BUMP for the Spitfire.

Anyway i've send you again the correct one for the Spitfire but sadly i dont own the Viggen so Nothing i can do.

No.

This is not a fix, is a workaround. You will notice that the sun issue is fixed but you will lose the scratches on the canopy because i dont know how to edit the textures to make then work right.

A real textures modeller is needed for that. I dont have the knowledge to do so. Anyway i have reported this by PM to developers pointing in the right path.

...Fixed sun halo on canopy glass.
