[FIXED] CTD soon after spool-up

Patched up the open beta and tried to fly the viggen on two servers tonight but DCS went CTD after 3 or 4 minutes, soon after I spooled up the engine.

Am not sure if this is a problem for others also?

Same here.

First thought it was the server or a takeoff event. But other airframes on that server worked fine. When I took my time with spooling up it crashed during start-up, when I rushed I managed to fly very shortly before crashing to desktop.

I crashed with Viggen a few times now, after playing in MP as single aircraft on map.

The F-5 worked fine.

Single player seems to be working fine for me, but getting a CTD every time I try multiplayer.

Seems ok until advancing throttles and moving off, cartridge loaded ok, weapons re-armed ok, aircraft up and running ok, move off CTD.

Using Devrims english cockpit mod, no messages above failing integrity check or anything.

Hoggit - georgia at war server

Only tried with bk90 mj2 loaded

CTD issues in multiplayer are also being reported on r/Hoggit.

Yet to hear from Heatblur on this. Hopefulyl it is something that can be hot-patched...

There were no patch notes for the Viggen so It's not clear at all to me if something in the module itself was updated, or if the updates to DCS core caused an unexpected big with the Viggen.

Good to know I'm not the only one.

Happening in MP and SP for me. It SEEMS like it has to do either with the Nav system/Data Cartridge or maybe the BK-90s.

I'm getting the CTD without the BK90 (i.e. when I have RB75s on board).

It happens to me around 2 to 3 minutes aftre joining a server, and once the engine and electrics are spooled up.

I haven't tried just sitting in a server with engine off to see if it also happens then.

Thanks for the reports! I’ve replicated the issue, fixed it and pushed a updated binary to EDs server. I hope ED will have the time to hotfix Viggen. The issue with inputting codes into TAKT is also fixed.

There will be a hotfix tomorrow. In the meantime:

1) avoid having friendly radars in the mission

2) avoid inputting codes into TAKT

I get all warm and fuzzy and tingly inside when I know you guys are on it. :joystick: <<me for the last 2wks. E v e r y thing I do in DCS. However, I'm high right now... I actually completed a full flight, bombed stuff, shot stuff up, and landed. No giltches or nuthing. Hooray (not the V but at this point it doesn't matter).

If you can handle this in a short time, it is highly welcome of course.

Switching to a lower version is not the most comfortable thing on earth, but it is always an option if things went totally wrong.

We are in DCS openbeta, and that's the reason why sometimes things go wrong (or mainly vice-versa hopefully :music_whistling: ...).

When will you guys find the time for the final steps on the Viggen?
