[REPORTED]Spitfire gunsight disappears

This the first time I ever had this bug, flown today on open beta in mission 1 of the big show. Gunsight disappeared around 13:50 mission time, about 25 minutes after start. Unfortunately I forgot to save the track I don't know if there is anywhere these automatically save.

Ive had this happen to me at least once as well.

It's back.

Flew on a few servers over the last few days and first time I thought it must be random failure forced on on that server. Then flew with a buddy on a second server and he had his fail just after takeoff, I figured he was not as familiar with the DCS Mk IX then 20 min later mine failed. Confirmed afterwards that neither server had random failure on.

No, that's why I thought it was random failures or operator error but then it happened twice before getting into combat. This appears to be the same bug that was finally fixed in September after a year or so of trying to reproduce. The problem is that it is random.

Here is a track where the spitfire gun sight disappears. I would say I noticed it was gone about 30 seconds before I quit the mission.

It happened again, this but is occurring very frequently for me it seems to take fewer than 5 flights to reproduce. Here is another track.

With a 10:1 ratio (10 good and 1 disappearing) I also noticed the problem.

Yes, it’s a frustrating bug. Sometimes doesn’t happen at all, sometimes after several minutes and at other times, it happens immediately.

Not even the same mission. If I run the guns combat training mission several times - extended by flying around after downing the bandits - I get all of the 3 situations described above.

This is all VR. I haven’t tried to replicate on a monitor. If I get a chance, I’ll test that later.

The Mustang used to have this, when I flew under rain clouds. When the cloud cover is 8/10 or less, some clouds have precipitation. As soon as I flew under those, my gunsight disappeared along with the glass. Is this perhaps the same what you are experiencing?

Happens to me too. Sometimes very early in the mission, sometimes around 20-25 min flight. Attaching the latest that i managed to capture.

Mission debriefing shows that "Reticle bulb" gets broken.

Thanks All - I've just started flying the Spitfire and have noticed this happening in multiple missions I fly. I thought I was doing something wrong that was causing it to burn-out the bulb for the reticle...

How is the investigation of this one going? Please let me know if you need any more tracks, because this happens every time I fly the spitfire.

I thought this had been fixed in an update. I have not seen this happen for months!

Here's another track, the rate of occurrence of this is very high. Since the failure seems to be part of the random system failures as it shows up in the mission log, perhaps just take that out? It fails for me about one mission in three.
