Hi, da ich der englischen Sprache nicht so mächtig bin, probiere ich es jetzt mal hier. Problem Nummer 1. :) autoupdate_log.txt

Sometimes the new problem is just an old problem repackaged. Switched from another anti-virus vendor to BitDefender. No problems until trying to play DCS with my Pimax 8KX in VR. Nope. Nope. More nope. Starting through the troubleshooting list provided by Flappie, (a most excellent resource by the way) I discovered that in changing over from one anti-virus to the next it turned on parts of my Windows Defender. That wrecked everything with lower FPS and random crashes. Windows everything off. Problem solved. Sometimes the new is really the old. Hopefully this saves someone out there some aggravation. - Richrach

I've actually solved this one on my own, but it took hours, and I can't find any info on this problem when I search, so I'm hoping this post saves someone some time and effort. So, when launching DCS, prior to reaching the main screen (the one that lets you into Settings, Mission, Multiplayer, Instant Action, etc.) there's a brief loading screen with a progress bar. After today's OB patch, mine hung at 10% and wouldn't advance. Had to task kill DCS (so, technically this is a freeze, not a crash, but I think it still belongs in this section -- feel free to move it if I'm wrong about that.) I did the usual things (disable mods, delete fxo & metashaders2, run a repair, reboot) to no avail. I looked at the log, and found this: ALERT Dispatcher: Error starting Game GUI: error loading module 'gui_map' from file '.\lua-gui_map.dll': The specified procedure could not be found. Deleting the lua-gui_map.dll file in the root DCS folder solved the problem for me. I ran a repair afterwards, because I was actually expecting the file to be needed but corrupt, and wanted the repair process to get me a fresh one, but it didn't replace the file, so I now believe that step was unnecessary. The last modified attribute on that file was May of 2016, so it's clearly quite old, and probably not going to cause any issues with people who have downloaded the game recently, but my DCS install is very old (the install folder is still called DCS_15OB, if you can believe that.) In case someone else runs into this issue but doesn't find their way to this post, I suggest that the next OB patch/hotfix check for the presence of this file, and remove it if found.

Hi, It seems I 'm always crashing DCS (freeze) toward the end of my MP mission, it happens after 30 - 40mn or so. I haven't noticed any unusual temperature raise, or memory clogging. The only mod I have is VRperfkit 3.0. I'm running my own MP liberation missions on a separate dedicated PC on my local network. Specs are : ryzen7 5800x3D, 32GB, 3080ti, Quest2, no overclocking, and SSD drive. I'm playing VR on stable release, using Steam launcher with OculusVR api. So far, I have : updated to the latest nvidia drivers, rebuilt fxo& metashaders, checked files integrity, run out of ideas ! Could someone make sense of my log and give me some advice ? dcs.log

Especially if you managed to fix the issue, please comment how you did it. Thanks! Topics such as and Relates to F-14, Supercarrier and AI.

Greetings, It may be oddly specific but this problem is bugging me for some time now. Where does it happen: on Hoggit PGAW (Persian Gulf at War) multiplayer server in a certain corner of the map. And I don't know if it's my system, DCS itself or a quirk of the MP server. In the past it sometimes happened when I landed on the Stennis or Washington located in the south-east corner of the map. Recently it happened again during a Case III recovery on PGAW (freeze happening at end of video). Sadly, I didn't save the log file for this one I was able to replicate the freeze like this (crash logs also attached to this post): Video Example 1 - Crash Log Video Example 2 - Crash Log Prior to the freeze I am able to fly a sortie and blow some stuff up. After landing on one of the carriers, I check the surrounding ships and AI planes with the external cam. In this case the freeze happens when I view other planes and turn the camera. No mods installed Between examples 1 and 2 I tried a repair (Steam verification of file integrity), to no avail. I do similar stuff on other maps on other servers (e.g. Hoggit GAW [Caucasus] or Flashpoint Levant [Syria]) and no freezes happen. My PC specs: i9-9900k / 2080 Ti / 64 GB RAM (DDR4-3200) / Asus ROG Maximus XI Hero [RAM has been tested with MemTest86 and passed with zero errors] Windows on 1TB M.2 NVMe (pagefile with default settings and managed by OS) DCS (Steam) on separate 2TB M.2 NVMe OS and all drivers up to date Best regards DCS Freeze - PGAW Carrier Corner - Example 1.log DCS Freeze - PGAW Carrier Corner - Example 2.log

Hello, Whenever I play DCS, after a while, it either stutters really badly and then recovers, or it crashes. I looked around and I don't know what to do about it anymore. I love the game so far and would like to get more than 10-20 minutes into an engagement before a crash. Please help! dcs.log

I finally got MT working relatively smoothly at around 30 fps in the UH-1 Marianas which before would crash Virtual Desktop and Steam VR. 40-50 fps in the NTTR in an A-10A. System Specs, MOBO=ASRock X570 Pro4 CPU=AMD Ryzen 7 5700X, 8 core GPU=Zotac RTX 3060 Ti OC edition, no overclocking, will try under volting and report back. RAM=TEAMGROUP T-Force Vulcan Z DDR4 32GB Kit (2x16GB) 3200MHz (PC4-25600) CL16 Desktop Memory Module DCS Openbeta on a dedicated 2TB NVMe M.2 drive Headset=Pico 4, CAT 8 Ethernet direct from a dedicated 5G router to an Ethernet to USB C adapter, steady 1200 MBPs. For a 3060 card use Nvidia driver 522.25, it has issues with newer drivers. Follow the instructions in these videos. Follow the instructions in this video to install Process Lasso and tune it to control your CPU processes. Set DCS, Steam VR, and Virtual Desktop Priority to high. Set DCS to only use physical cores. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2TEEq5tIGM&ab_channel=Panjno My DCS settings except shadows are on flat, picture attached, VR pixel at 1.0. Steam VR resolution 100%. Nvidia control panel pictures attached. DCS Open Beta 2.8.3.38090. Verify Steam VR files, two were missing from mine. Use a shortcut to the DCS.exe in bin_MT with --force_enable_VR --force_OpenXR at the end of the target. I hope this helps. All credit to Panjno for his how to videos and whoever came up with the force VR shortcut. null

IMG_0.MOV When I try to launch DCS via the MT shortcut on my desktop it will load for a literal second and then freeze my entire PC. I can't ALT+TAB or anything like that. I have to reset my PC to make it unfreeze. I tried re-installing the game on my C drive and there it was working fine. So I again re-installed on my brand new F drive and it was done I tried to join Heatblur Cold War sever... midway into the loading process it froze everything again. I then tried to join The "Through the Inferno" Syria map and the same thing happened. On the next attempt to launch DCS it froze immediately after running the program. I couldn't even get into the launcher. It won't give me a log when I try to start but I have one from the 2nd I tried to get into DCS and it loaded before having the same issue when trying to join an MP server. dcs.log

I am trying to track down a really weird issue i have had with dcs in the last week or so. I am asking how I would inspect the logs/debug/where to look to find out how i can resolve this issue. Only happens in MP not sure if it happens in ST but happens in MT. Single player is fine nothing wrong. Is there a better networking debug i can see? I seem to have a 0.02% loss over the time I play. Happens with all A/C seems to be worse going from f-10 map back to cockpit but it is litterally random when it happens, altough last two times it happened after a missle was fired at me. PC config: mobo: Z790 tomohawk cpu: 13700k (small undervolt to keep temps down 0.050mv) RAM: 6000MT Corsair 32gb NVME: 990 pro GPU: 4080 TUF Issue: Random pausing. Frame times randomly jump to 8-45 seconds. Breif: Had a gpu driver crash last week which cause kernal hangs. No crashes after fixing but the DCS MT MP randomly had long frame times. Installed: DCS OB latest with MT, Scripts: dcs export script for my mfds, scratchpad plus, SRS Mods: Just some Airframes requires for MP server. Step taken to try to resolve: 1. DDU the drivers and clean install. This fixed the black screen crashing of games. 2. Updated Bios, Motherboard drivers, Drivers, windows 11. 3. Removed any scripts i wasn't running (like scratchpad etc) removed from the lua startups etc 4. DCS repair, clean. 5. Removing fxo, metashaders 2 6. Replacing network cables. 7. Turning off SRS,VR in the settings. (i was seeing some 100's of messages from SRS in the log not sure it made a difference). Anything else i can try or logs i can see what causes these pauses. People on the server say they don't experience it so i am thinking the mp server is OK. Thanks!
