The only way i know how to do that is delete the objects that are located at that airport in DCS World\Mods\terrains\CaucasusBase\Structures\High\EDM. But that is only if you are talking about 1.5, i have never attempted it in 2.0. I did this to all my airfields in 1.5.4 and built my own Spanish Civil War airfields that way, however. I would wait to see how the new map is constructed within the DCS2 game, if its done the same way as previously then you just replace the edm files with a JSGME Mod that changes the name to say: ferma_a.edm-remove You do that by simply extracting the old ferma_a.edm file and adding the -remove bit on the end. Instal that new file into the high/edm file and it overwrites the old one, and nothing shows up on the map. That will remove ALL ferma-a buildings of course, but its the best way to clean out an airfield to create your own. BUT, and its a big but, they may change how its all done in the new map, in which case we will have to think again, so I am waiting a few more weeks before I proceed to do it again. Chopper A-10 Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 Ranger Pack works fine in Open Beta 2.5 The only issue I have is that in Multiplayer I get the message 'PURE CLIENT' which requires me to remove the Ranger Pack from it's folder to be able to log on to the server. This is also a 2.5 server. Did I install it wrong or does the Server Admin 'block out' you for having mods?? There are a few in the Bazar/Shapes folder but nothing much to change or remove that will have any serious affect on how the airfields look now. I could not even work out how to disable them, the few that I found. What you see now is what you are stuck with. I have removed my Buildings Mods from the download site, they are of no use to anybody now.

crazyeddie Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 Shagrat is correct, destroyed still shows on the map. You can't get access to those either, so nothing to be gained there. My Buildings Mod was designed around 1.5.8, its going to need a lot of work to make all of it work correctly and look right in 2.5, and I'm not prepared to spend any more time doing that. If DCS had kept the buildings edm's accessible then I would have happily done the extra work, but they didnt. I had a sneaky feeling they were going to lock us out of that area, that's been the DCS track record in the past and it's their game, so we just have to accept it. I'm moving on to something else.

I was really disappointed with the Normandy Map, for the same reasons as now, you can't do much to it, so what you see is all that you can have. NTTR is great as is, so no complaints there and I do use that, but I really wanted to create a much better Caucasus Map from scratch using my own ideas and maps. I'm none too impressed with the new Caucasus map either, but others love it and its not going to change, so onwards and upwards !! So, I will be keeping a weather eye on it and if things change I might have another go, and I have been thinking along the lines of removing the texture files by changing them to empty.tga's, but that would not remove the collision files so that would only be half a solution. In the meantime I have fixed my 1.5.4 version as a Spanish Civil War Map and I intend to do more with that for a while, its still the best version of the game for me and I love flying around it it,

Hi Snoopy, Here is an example for you, I have tested it and it works for me the example I am using is the DODGE_TECH vehicle listed in the ME under ARMOUR *Technical Large 12.7mm 1. Create a .lua file named DODGE_TECH.lua 2. Place the lua file in the following location for the Mod: Sounds/Sounders/GroundUnits/WeaponSystem/IFV (If it does not exist create the path). Hopefully someone can direct me here. :helpsmilie: I downloaded the Zip file from Ranger79’s first post and moved the root folder from the Zip into the JSGME DCS directory. I then activated it through JSGME. However, when I go to the mission editor I don’t see any of the objects in the Ground Vehicle Group. I do have the 476th Range Targets loaded and working fine in the ME. I tried moving the root folder into the Saved Games\DCS\Mods\tech folder (this is where the 476th Range Targets reside). Unfortunately this didn’t work either. Any help is appreciated. I am running DCS 1.5.8 Thanks! When you download a mod and unzip it, the unzipped folder contains a further folder for the actual mod. Both folders are named the same eg BOB1 contains BOB1. Ranger79 has both sounds and images in his zip file and they belong in two separate folders in my saved games directory. I had to traverse down the "MODS" structure until I got to the level below "Tech" and copy that folder (Ranger Pack) in the Tech folder (if you look in the Zip file, this sentence makes sense) . That did the trick and all items now show up in the ME. I added the "Sounds" folder directly from the Zip as my Saved Games folder did not have one created. I hope this all works -- seems like I'm on the right path. Please let me know if anyone reads this and sees problems.
