Backer Rewards Section is Finally Here

I had different email address's for dcswwii and DCS

 

 

If you already have a digitalcombatsimulator.com account linked to that email, you should be able to log in and immediately use the Backer Rewards page.

 

If you do not have a digitalcombatsimulator.com account linked to that email, please create one. It will give you access to all features on the site, including the Backer Rewards page.

 

If you already have a digitalcombatsimulator.com account linked to a different email address, unfortunately we do not have an automated way to deal with that. Please email

 

dcswwii@eagle.ru from the email address currently on your DCS profile (not the kickstarter backer email address) and let us know which email address you used to back the project. We’ll be changing the backer email address to your DCS account email address (not the other way around).

yeah this is confusing me as well :)

i dont understand why i should have to create new accounts...but they told me so i did, as they told me that it then should work...but still nothing...

 

now my second account here(davidred1) has the same email as my kickstarter account and as my digitalcombatsimulator.com account....

 

EDIT:well, intitally, i had the same email adress for kickstarter and dcs, only this forum account used another email....

Maybe send an PM to const, maybe he can merge the accounts, both the DCS one and the forum one, and tell him which email you want to keep, probably the one matching the KS. I dont see how or why creating a second forum account would be a good idea...

Tell him you were confused with the DCS WWII stuff, and now you have a second account here and on DCS page, and you want to get rid of the second and have the accounts you keep using your KS email... maybe he will be able to help get rid of the extra accounts, then we can revisit the DCS WWII stuff...

I read the last one as "anchor yourself to the digitalcombatsimulator.com email address (where you buy stuff) and change the other two: make a new forum account with email matching digitalcombatsimulator.com and email them to change your Kickstarter email to match your digitalcombatsimulator.com."

Shame they can't align the existing profiles. Must be something to do with the login names/procedure.

 

I think the 3-way aspect may be confusing some people.

 

Still waiting for my Kickstarter to be changed but I imagine they are very busy with that.

done that, didnt work.

Hmmmm..... Sounds like they changed your Kickstarter email to your DCS email but overlooked changing your '1944 forum' email address which, presumably, they would have set up initiallly to be the same as your Kickstarter email. Might be worth emailing them with that idea.

Same problem here, can't get to the forum. Emailed dcswii so waiting to see what happens. My question is where should we report wrong rewards. I payed for alfa access but it isn't listed in my rewards. What a bloody mess this project is!

well, my kickstarter email was always the same as my dcs email....the forum email was a different one...changed that now, so that all three sites use the same email...

I think everything got really screwed up when the reward tiers changed. I think I should have had alpha access but it shows beta and 6 flyables, pledge was $50.

I can't imagine the headache this has been for them. :doh:

That's exactly what I did, pledged $50 to get Alpha access and 6 flyables. Kickstarter website still says that's what you get for $50 so that's what I'm expecting to get.

It's really hard to tell what is what on the KS site, there are 3 different rewards for the $50 level alone. As it stands, I'd rather have them working on the release than worrying about my petty issues.

I got another email from luther this morning. It sounds like he is working hard on getting this sorted out. I'll post his email because I think it might help other out.

Sorry for a late reply. There's unfortunately a huge number of people who cannot access the backer section or the forums, and so it's taking me a while to address each issue.

 

We did find a solution, but it's a manual process on both our ends.

 

Can you please go to your forum user control panel and update your email to the one used on the main site?

After you've updated your email, please let me know, and I'll have to manually reset your backer record.

 

I'll let you know once that's done (could take a little while with my backlog), and then you'll finally be able to log in and have the system link up.

That is interesting? Did they say what they change your DCS Website account email to? I think that one is an easy fix, just update your DCS Website account email to match it. I thought I read on here that someone had done that already and it worked.

 

Of course that just might mess things up further.
