wolle
Hi guys, I attach my sling load practice mission. Features: -Transport 4 sling load cargos from pick up point to drop off point. -Crew chief will call out hover instructions both as you pick up and drop off your cargo. -You must drop the cargo within 10 m from the smoke marker -Mission will time you, and report the total time you required to complete the task once you have dropped off all 4 cargos. Good luck!Time Trial Sling Load.miz 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Intel Core I7 4820K @4.3 GHz, Asus P9X79 motherboard, 16 GB RAM @ 933 MHz, NVidia GTX 1070 with 8 GB VRAM, Windows 10 Pro

hitman
I spent about an hour training this guy in the S77th server earlier this morning. Here is a few tracks if anyone is interested in learning something new...broke up because the server restarted 3 times. https://www.dropbox.com/s/5q8ja3zl4iraq9w/Slingload.rar
horus0129
Has anyone tried this mission in RC2? I've done this so many times with no problem in previous beta but it becomes way too difficult to climb with the cargo hooked in RC2...:(
Cibit
Quick mission from me incorporating the embarking feature and a sling load:) Hope you dont mind me posting it here Wolle:music_whistling: "Ok Captain Transport the new garrison to the outpost ADF 478 kHz They are waiting at Beslan. Also a cargo net filled with mail and porn and extra ammo needs to be hauled up there. remove the old garrison and bring them back here. You have 60% fuel so check your tanks if your doing 2 trips. Oh and before you go, I forgot to say the enemy insurgents may take pot shots at you so make sure you let your door gunners know!"Mountain ops V1.miz i5 8600k@5.2Ghz, Asus Prime A Z370, 32Gb DDR4 3000, GTX1080 SC, Oculus Rift CV1, Modded TM Warthog Modded X52 Collective, Jetseat, W10 Pro 64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Adding JTAC Guide //My Vid's//229th AHB
wolle
Quick mission from me incorporating the embarking feature and a sling load:) Hope you dont mind me posting it here Wolle:music_whistling: No problem Cibit. Looking forward to playing the mission tonight. I have a question regarding the embarking features. Have those been documented yet? Just playing around I have gotten them to work, but only if I set up the necessary tasks in the mission editor waypoint advanced options. However, if I set up the exact same tasks as a triggered action that is called some time after mission start, the troops wonder off into no-man's land instead of walking towards the chopper. So I guess my question is: has anyone gotten the embarking/disembarking feature to work as a triggered action? Another question: what is "embark to group"? Cibit
No documentation have I found yet guess WIP. This works in similar fashion to CTTS but the F7 menu only appears when near an embarkable unit. I havent tried it with trigger as yet but it appears buggy to me, trying to get troops to embark on a 4 ship flight is fraught with difficulties. I think embark to group should allow them to use any vehicle within stated group. Have not tested this yet either:music_whistling: The guest house has been packed for easter holidays and I get very little flying time ATM gets quieter next week though:smilewink: i5 8600k@5.2Ghz, Asus Prime A Z370, 32Gb DDR4 3000, GTX1080 SC, Oculus Rift CV1, Modded TM Warthog Modded X52 Collective, Jetseat, W10 Pro 64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Adding JTAC Guide //My Vid's//229th AHB
ENO
Speaking of CTTS... I think it might be busted- but if you have it working there's a chance that with the new version I might need to reload it... Hmmm. "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
foofee
sling load cheat? Here's what many would call a cheat, but it's fun trying to do it. Start flying directly toward the load at a proper altitude for hooking. Slow down as much as possible. When you are at walking speed or slower kick in the "fly level" autopilot mode. Eventually you will see the load appear at the top of the load window. If you are moving slow enough the load should stay in view long enough to hook. All without touching the stick. DeJohn
Its a nice mission, except I must be doing something wrong because I only get the radio menu while I'm on the ground. I get no menu when in the air. Anyone have an idea of what I'm doing wrong?
Yurgon
I only get the radio menu while I'm on the ground. I get no menu when in the air. Anyone have an idea of what I'm doing wrong? Are you using the "Communication menu" key? In the air, you need "Pilot's radio trigger RADIO" in the section "INS Cyclic Stick" of the Controls. DeJohn
Yurgon; Thank you! That was it. I've always just used the \ key to access the menu during missions. Didn't realize they used the easy communications setting.
