Mogster Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Short have made a weapons capable one although it only serves with overseas air forces. The RAF variant is not capable of carrying weapons without significant modification. I'd expect a basic weapons package for the Tucano. Pman Nice one
Python Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 I would be happy to assume we are flying a modified Tucano. Still, weapons or not, I'm looking forward to simply flying this one. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Mogster Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Hey Guys, Thought I would share a couple of more sneak peeks into our Grob G115E Tutor I am pretty sure you will agree that its shaping up really nicely! All the best until next time Pman Looking forward to the Grob. I sometimes have a desire for a simple GA aircraft to fly around in the DCS environments, the Grob will scratch that itch. Quite often I fire up FSX just to fly around in the Cessna 150 or 172, I'd like to be able to do the same in DCS. I do realise some people wont understand the desire for this but..... :)
flyingscotsman Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Yes please! My last flight was in a Tucano from RAF Linton On Ouse, can't wait for this one, where does the c/card slot on the pc?
Python Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Lucky boy, I'd love to have a go in the real thing. This will have to do... chop chop Pman! ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
msalama Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 I do realise some people wont understand the desire for this but..... :) There're others than you and me I'm sure. I'd personally just loooove to putter around in a GA bird just for a change... The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
Alicatt Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 There're others than you and me I'm sure. I'd personally just loooove to putter around in a GA bird just for a change... DCS the New FSX :D I'm quite happy with that, even tho the map is a bit limited I do enjoy a spot of GA flying and some aerobatics and maybe a canyon run through the hills. Spook Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 (edited) I look forward to buying that plane in the "DCS World Shopping" because in my country Colombia use it almost 20 years ago to counterinsurgency operations, anti-narcotics, and territorial control missions. Spook Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 (edited) Another photo of a Tucano trainer in flight over the plains east of Colombia This photo is taken on the areas of growing coffee, the best coffee in the world Here the Tucano Plane care fine Colombian coast, home of the most beautiful girls in the world. mrniel Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 A training pack consisting of the grob, the short tucano and the hawk. This is IMO the best idear i read in a long long time. The very thought of going trough the same (not really) training as a aspiring jet pilot is just irresistibel. A great idear. Thumbs up. dump all other projects and focus on this :) Instant buy. even though i already bought the hawk, i would gladly buy it again if it not was possibel to buy the other seperatly. Darn, another looooong wait :)

Milli Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 ^^ So as an ab initio pilot i will start in the Hawk, progress to the Tucano and finally graduate in the Grob. I like it. :music_whistling:
NeilWillis Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 :pilotfly:I think the potential for a structured training program campaign would be amazing. I for one would love to put myself through every step of training for fast jets this way. Sign me up Pman, Air cadet in the making here! Neil
trevcart Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 So with you doing a plane training path, are you looking at doing the same for helos? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Pman Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 So with you doing a plane training path, are you looking at doing the same for helos? Not currently Thats not to say that we wont in the future but its not in the plans for the next 2-3 years Pman
Random Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 So with you doing a plane training path, are you looking at doing the same for helos? Really cool idea!
mrniel Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 AS said earlier, exellent idear. A thought came to mind. The last few years the marked for normal flying and training have not been developed beyond FSX. Fxs was bought by lockheed Prepar3D and only xplane10? is now available to the casual user. We all know what a disaster FLIGHT was. Perhaps this is a good way to lure some of the former FSX users over to DCS by having a trainer plane (Grob Tutor) It should be available as a cheap buy other than the 3 plane package. So previous FSX users realtively easy could test DCS world with a cheap trainer. I belive a lot of new players could be pursuaded to join that way. And offcause potentional customers.
trevcart Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Not to mention the commercial market. I think you would only need the one helo for the training package in the form of the as350. After that it is all conversion to type.. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

After that it is all conversion to type.. At the moment I have planned our development plan into late 2016 and I havent even thought about looking into a helo training course, Tbh none of us are avid helo pilots and I anticipate it taking some considerable time to make a helo vs the release schedule that I have laid out for our fixed wing projects. IF we ever looked to do a training helo it would be sometime into 2017 I would expect at the earliest. Pman

Gonna be an expensive couple of years for me if you are serious!
Pman Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Does that mean "the list" is only up until the end of 2016? Damn..... Gonna be an expensive couple of years for me if you are serious! haha, No it means that I am working on the development plan into 2016, it doesnt yet include everything in the roadmap, that will take longer then 2 years to complete! kelusk Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 If you are developing a tutor can I shotgun a testers spot on it as I'll be flying it for the next two years in the University Air Squadron :D
