F l a n k e r Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Hi Rudel! It seems to me that the shape of the wing upper pylon is too squared, I mean that for me the front height of the pylon must be higher than the aft. So the missile is slightly pointed towards the terrain. May be an optical effect of perspective anyway!
-Rudel- Posted May 22, 2014 Author Posted May 22, 2014 It is incorrect. It's one thing I havent fixed yet from the old mesh. I plan to fix all 7 in a patch. https://magnitude-3.com/ https://www.facebook.com/magnitude3llc https://www.youtube.com/@magnitude_3 i9 13900K, 128GB RAM, RTX 4090, Win10Pro, 2 x 2TB SSD, 1 x 15TB SSD U.2 i9 10980XE, 128GB RAM, RTX 3090Ti, Win10 Pro, 2 x 256GB SSD, 4 x 512GB SSD RAID 0, 6 x 4TB HDD RAID 6, 9361-8i RAID Controller i7 4960X, 64GB RAM, GTX Titan X Black, Win10 Pro, 512GB PCIe SSD, 2 x 256GB SSD

KewinSawicki Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Hello Rudel, Is it just me or is that pin ( not too sure what it is ) is a little bit small compared to the real life one ? Or is it just he way the screenshot was made. I put a red rectangle over the bit im talking about. 'Fear the strike'

It's fair to point out things we might sometimes miss. Jester Darrak Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Hi Rudel! It seems to me that the shape of the wing upper pylon is too squared, I mean that for me the front height of the pylon must be higher than the aft. So the missile is slightly pointed towards the terrain. May be an optical effect of perspective anyway! I would say that the profile of the wing is a little bit to narrow. You can clearly see the downard curve starting at the leading edge. But I know how hard it is to make a 3D model a 100% perfect match, especially when it comes to airfoils. Another reason might be the small offset between the wing and the pylon which needs a workaround in 3D modelling as it is hard to create rectangular joints without having them look stupid. Anyways, keep up the great work!

-Rudel- Posted May 23, 2014 Author Posted May 23, 2014 A lot of stuff can't be fixed until I start laying lines and rivets.
