Hi,

I wanted to share a tutorial video I made and would like to have your opinion on it. I guess it can be useful for beginners, and perhaps even some experienced Pilots could at least find the part from 3:20min helpful.

Thanks,

Mav

Very interesting, especially the part about editing the profiles in the config files, so that one does not have to do it over and over again. Good job!

Nice tutorial Mav. I like your straight to the point approach. Very clear and succinct.

This'll help making the .LUA file. Change parameters in the first sheet as you see fit (tho I wouldn't recommend it) and the third sheet will give you what you need to copy and paste. Non-US/UK users should use the period (.) as a decimal seperator in the first sheet and not their usual numpad button otherwise it won't work.

U Did ask for suggestions.

It is good video. To make it more "Universal" (Remember we have new users from Steam with little experience in Flight Sims.) Add text to the video with the HOTAS and Keyboard commands.

This was a Boutique Builder iBuypower rig. Good idea. I initially thought saying something about keybindings is a bit to much spoonfeeding, but adding them as text is a nice idea!

I'd be happy to hear ideas on future tutorial topics aswell. Especially if you think you have a topic there is no tutorial video for it. I personally can't think of anything that won't be for example the 100th JDAM drop tutorial out there, although thats the best Idea I currently have ^^

A-10C Countermeasure Tutorial

Future ideas: comprehensive tutorial full of tips/tricks for all types of weapon deliveries. 476th has quite some YTs on it but those are demonstrations instead of step-by-step tutorials. Visual cues are very important here hence YTs would be a good way to give insight.

Started with some ideas for weapon delivery of the a10's weapons arsenal, but I kind off ran into a problem.

First I wanted to make a series of how to employ different weapons with some pointers where they are most efficient, then I saw that this would target mostly inexperienced people. This leads to the problem, that not engaging but finding the targets is something important to learn aswell.

So now I am thinking if I should do a tutorial on data management like flightplans, markpoints, tgp usage... Or is this too early to start? I guess I don't want to spoonfeed everything that is needed...

I'd like to see a tutorial on how to set up and use IP points. VNAV, VANGLE. All that stuff.

I also agree , the part about the config file is VERY usefull.

Will changing this make it so you cant join certain multiplayer servers anymore?

Ok, that's a thing I have to get myself into first ^^

But thanks for the hint, I'll do it after the weapon tutorials. But this could take some time...

This won't affect multiplayer afaik, I never experienced problems with the altered config file.
