Kick me, but I made a large backing (there were only five of us in that tier) on this project and the least anyone could have done was send a simple e-mail explaining what happened and what the intent of DCS is/was.

As it is, I have had to dig around in forums to find out what's happening. I don't have a lot of free time like many of us.

So when I found the link to the backer login I was disappointed to find it did not work.

Having not seen this thread I opened a ticket and was informed that it should be up today or tomorrow. That was yesterday.

I have strong doubts about this.

That said, I still think some e-mails would have gone a long way to prevent much of the animosity, fear and doubt experienced by many, including me!.

Iirc it was addressed in one of the last ED Newsletters a few weeks ago.

I believe that you are mistaken. DCS WWII has not been mentioned in any DCS newsletters that I can recall.

Thank you for the link.

Most informative. According to that link I should have Beta access which I don't.

I got my P51 keys from Luthier, which I didn't really need and gave them to Squadron members as I already had the P51. I have all the modules for DCS.

So I still think that an e-mail would have been nice from DCS. It would have proven that DCS has our contact info and eased many concerns.

Has anyone got any proof that their contact info is in the hands of DCS if so how was that done? or are we just hoping at this point?

I ask these things because a few from my Squadron also funded this project and are in the dark as much as I am and I'd like to get some answers for both them and myself.

Cheers

Sorry but to that question I have no answer unfortunately.

I'm also waiting for some info since I backed a couple of hundred.

Which should be quite easy. Just delay the release until the backer page is ready.

That should have been the plan from the beginning.

Again, all I want to know is if I need to order the 190 separately to fly it tomorrow, or will I get a key for being a backer in time? It is a straightforward and reasonable question. No animosity or panic here. The day before release ED can fill us in. Thanks.

I was also wondering if as a backer, I could wait for a Steam key for my fw-190. I'm guessing only time will tell though.

Hmm, what to do Vlerkies? Buy the Dora before the discount ends or practice patience, in the hope ED gets the backer section up by tommorows launch.......

Personally I'm choosing to interpret radio silence from ED on this that they're very close to having it ready but can't guarantee it'll be ready either. If it's delayed a day or two past Aug 5th I'm sure I'll survive. I'm pretty sure that if ED were miles away from delivering the backers reward page they'd have told us.

It would still be appreciated if they gave us an update, even if it's bad news and the backers section won't be ready for a week. It's the silence thats killing me tbh. :(
