Hello guys,

I made two videos with the amazing MiG-21bis - the first is an overview or "first impressions", the second the Ramp Start tutorial.

Feedback is very welcome.

I wrote a Review for the German Community, too. Maybe, I translate it this week.

regards,

Fire

Giving my school German a good workout with those video's. XD

Loved the last 5 minutes where you're just flying with the sunset as background. ;)

I just can't get over how beautifully presented the cockpit is. Even that thumbnail on your second vid is amazing.

When the rift comes along I think this cockpit will incredible.

Well done LS, this looks first class.

Excellent! It really sweetens the hard time until release... the second video is the best cold start preview so far, especially because you made the effort and explained every switch! Hope for the next vid soon!

Ausgezeichnete Leistung, Dankeschön!

Thanks ... sometimes, I sit more hours working on the Thumbnail, than on the Tutorial itself ... no kidding. :D

Sorry, at the time there are too many (new) modules for doing this. But it's on the roadmap.

Hi,

after a few days of vacation, here is my third Tutorial for the MiG-21bis.

We explain

  • the lights,
  • the taxi and take-off procedures,
  • as well as the brake-and-turn logic,
  • the tricky gear-handle process,
  • and last, but not least: the climb phase into a nice sundown.

best regards,

Fire

Hey Fire, excellent tutorial and wonderful explained.

I really loved the Mig 21 brake demonstration at the GTA 1 view!

Learned quite something!

Although I have a little thing to be a smart ass:

The neutral position of the gear lever has (also) the following function: the main gear is operated by a hydraulic system. If you leave the lever upwards there is still hydraulic pressure on the gear inside the bays (also if there is a failure of the hydraulic pumps). But your emergency gear system is pneumatic, which has less pressure than the hydraulic (main) system. So you wouldn't get the gear out with the emergency system, thus they created the middle/neutral position to bleed of the hydraulic pressure after retraction.

Thank you very much for the video, made another day easier to wait for release :)

Thanks for that. Maybe you can add it in German in a YT comment below the video for the other viewers?

Nah ... There are enough English spoken DCS Tutorials out there.

In the German flight sim community are a lot of user - most between 35 and 60 years old, which can't speak English. They had only Russian in their school time, in the former GDR for instance. Or their English lessons are some 10, 15 years ago and they have to use it daily.

So, I decided - 3 years ago - to do my tutorials only in German, for our community. Maybe on the long road, I will add English subtitles or something else ...

best regards,

Fire

It makes sense, and I don't want to be rude, but in English part of the forum, I would expect English tutorials that's all.

We shall wait for Bunyap's stage 2 video series than. :)

Maybe I'll watch yours as well, I might learn something using my poor knowledge of German.

Or you just mute the sound, turn on some nice music and get another impression of this fantastic module ... ;)

I actually enjoy them a lot. You can learn a lot from just watching and you would be surprised at how much of the German you can pick up on after a while. :)

Great job again!

Sorry, can't do, I refuse to have a youtube-account since google took over; otherwise I would be a subscriber of your channel allready :) - but anyone is welcome to put this information in; the source by the way is the the translated russian flight operation manual: https://mega.co.nz/#!RZRFUKiR!dKyMZDc4lQspF8p0TXhgrXgp1yFQDixtWawyxwj26DM;

Hello Fire, thank you for all those awesome Tutorials. They really help pass the time to release.

Have you considered crowd sourcing english subtitles to your videos? (Using a service like this for example) I'm sure there are a bunch of people who'd be happy to help out.

Nice videos even though I do not speak German it is very nice. Is there a way to get Russian or English subtitles?

How on earth can I download this? It freezes up every time and sometimes it even gives me warnings that I should install some download addons for my FF if I want do fetch more than 1GB, but it's just a bit over 100MB. But I never get an actual download running inside my browser.
