Any recommended sub sim?

I was playing subcommand/DW, but none of them is capable of win8/8.1

 

Is there any recommended modern subsim?

Slightly OT but wanted to say SH3 was/is my absolute fave out of that series and GWX more than doubled its playability. Wish we could get an updated version / remake of SH3. The same game but brought up to today's standards. That would be awesome.

If you like very complex stuff with gargantuan manuals, I would recommend Dangerous Waters, but it's about modern subs.

I was playing dw, but dw cannot run on win8. So i want some good alternative ones that can run on win 8

Quote myself on this, as 0.25 is now out, adding saving, various fixes, ai improvements and nuclear war (via sublaunched SLBM, and country launched ICBMs).
