Hello everyone! In two weeks it's time to turn your eyes into the skies!

It will be my first time on Kleine-Brogel and I'm going on the 12th. Anybody else from here going to attend the show?

They gave you a personal show I see :D

I'm on my way there now. ^^

You will have a great time I'm sure!

Today the weather is great, clear skies and little wind.

They are doing right-hand circuits and landing on 23 so they are all far from me today, so not many photo opportunities sadly. Was hoping to catch my nephew coming in, he was due to touch down at 08:30 in his C130, I could hear him in the distance but I couldn't see him, I'll also miss his departure at 13:30 as I won't be here. :(

Ah well I have to go to Leuven shortly as my daughter graduates today, she has just got her Masters in Political Science :)

Congrats on your daughter! Who's the smartest at home now? :D

I had a blast today. Weather was great and got some nice photos of your nephew's C130 I hope. I'll try to upload some photos over the weekend.

First time I saw an F15 (c or d) in real too. Just after that there stood a Gripen, Rafale, Typhoon, F16 and F18 hornet. All next to each other but it was VIP area so couldn't make any photo of them together

Alas it is the sensor, I dug out my old D200 to use as my other camera was in use making a time-lapse of a house build across the road from my house.

Now I'm back home from the ceremony I will be cleaning the sensor. I have not used that body in about 6 years. :)

Thanks, so proud of her she has done well :)

My son was there today with his school and was speaking with his cousin.

We got home in time to see 2 Dassault Mirages displaying at about 18:45ish and then a F16 doing a solo display.

I look forward to seeing your photos :)

Nice Fulcrum and Macchis there! Shame I never get to see such cool aircraft from my window :). Well, I saw Turkish Stars F-5 s practicing twice, and some AH-1W and UH-60 patrolling around when there was a NATO military exercise for a few days. But that's two times in ten years here lol.

I have stayed, well pretty much lived in Rotterdam for 3 months in 2011 and for two weeks in 2012, never get to see an awesome airshow though bad luck :D

<Super off topic>

Wow I am the dirtiest camera user ever, and even I never had a sensor that much freckled :D

For some weird reson, I always wanted to try a D200 even though it is ancient by now. One of my favorite cameras was a 5D, released the same year as D200, but it still produced some of my favorite shots.

Wishlist: F-4E Block 53 +, MiG-27K, Su-17M3 or M4, AH-1F or W circa 80s or early 90s, J35 Draken, Kfir C7, Mirage III/V

I have 2 D200 bodies, that one has been sitting in a camera bag in the cellar for a few years now. I came from an Olympus OM2 via a Nikon F5 to the D200, a few of my older lenses require a screw drive to make them work and the D200 was the last digital SLR that has a screw drive on it. I got the second body as I want to pull the IR filter off the sensor to use the camera for astro photography.

Sensor given a wipe with an oily rag now...

I posted up a few pics in the Hawk forum as the Red Arrows have just done a display, they are now on the ground here for the night.

I stuck a few more pics up in photobucket too http://s149.photobucket.com/user/Alicatt_photos/slideshow/Airforce%20Days%202014

Hey, I was there too! I left after the Mig-29 solo though. Have seen the red arrows already this year.

Anyhow, nice weather in the afternoon and a great show! Shame I missed the two Mi-8's though. Saw them as I took the bus to the P&R.

Will post a selection of pics tomorrow!

Oh I'm looking forward to tomorrow and seeing the action close up, I live not too far from the P&R A so it is a short walk there and hop on the bus :)

here is a Mi-24 from a few years ago at the Tiger Meet, sorry it's not a Mi-8 ;)

Nice photos Alicatt. The fact you can shoot it from your bedroom window is pretty awesome. I have some C130 photos but not as much as I hoped. I was standing in exactly the wrong spot when he took off.

I too have a D200 :D It's actually my dads but he never uses it so I kinda make it my own... I took it with me so I wouldn't have to switch lenses all the time but the batteries were dead within an hour. Maybe I should check that sort of things when I steal it from him :music_whistling:

You got a great show TurboHog, did you go on Friday or Saturday? I didn't see the paratroopers! Great photos too!! Like you we left just a little bit after the MiG demo, we also saw the Mi-8 when we were walking to P&R. I saw the Mi-8 earlier that day too but don't have nice photos of it. I was filming at that time.

Just home, and going to sort through my pics tomorrow.

weather this morning was terrible but it cleared up in the afternoon. We had to leave before the show finished to get the kline kinderen home before 7, we just made it!

The F16 with the Greek lettering on the tail was pushing the envelope and almost gave us a sonic boom it was nice to see the double shock cones over the nose and the wings and it past us with a mighty CRACK, but not quite the normal sonic boom you hear here.

Excellent picture every one, thanks for sharing them.

What do you mean, do regularly break the speed of sound over there? I have yet to witness something like that.

Looking forward to your photos :)

Not every week, but someone does it a few times a year, it fairly rattles the windows!

Usually you hear them up high and then a fast descent ...and ... BOOM
