Hello pilots, Just bought my first module and I'm confused!

My P-51D will expire after 300 days right? (1 activation = 30 days / 9 activation left)?

Then, I need to buy once more for next 300days? :huh:

Nope. Its a permanent license. 9 activations available if you ever delete dcs you have to reactivate if you reinstall. Not sure what the 30 days is about though.

If I remember correctly it only means that after you've used up all the activations, you'll get 1 activation per month. But there is no time limit on a single activation itself.

Don't worry, we all have the same info in there as you do, saying "Time period: 30 days". ;) What you bought is yours forever, you won't need to reactivate or buy anything after a month.

Yeah just to clarify

 

This indicates that you generate 1 activation back every 30 days

 

Not that you need to use one every 30 days

 

So if you hit zero for whatever reason after 30 days you get one back

None of my modules asked for reactivation every 30 days, activations are permament, like people have said, you only need to use another activation after reinstall or hardware change.

Yes, the information is slightly misleading, but it's not recurring activations or pay per month.

 

On my P51 key information I have exactly the same as your screen shot (ie, 1/10 and 30 days), yet I bought the module a year ago.

When I ran out of activation due to my own incompetency, after explaining to ED what had happened, they gave me a few more activation free of charge.

He is not the first one ( incl. my 1st post ever here, shame on me ! ) who misunderstood the terms.

 

Maybe, the text should be rewritten with easier sentences and more common terms so we, the non-native english speaking fraction, have a better chance to fully understand what is tried to being said. The terms are actually ok, once you got the meaning right.

When you purchase an ed title you are leasing 10 activations, they wrote to me and told me they can only give out a one time activation renewal after my original blackshark activations all but expired a few days ago, due to some modding mishaps I made. With the sale on today I bought black shark 2 even though I bought the original blackshark and the upgrade. I've now spent allot on just blackshark. I don't like the way activations are leased. My games were all bought direct and my payment history is clear to see on my account. I shouldn't have to beg for an activation renewal, I support ed.
