There is little information, so I dont say that any of this is set in stone...

I copy that. That is why it is discussion thread, not official. I and many Czech vpilots of here will surely appreciate to have it in it's home version.

It just isn't Russian. Not even any other countries' which use it. And it is used worldwide.

Cockpit textures are easy to change. I'm sure some folks would like to have that cockpit in english too. Hopefully they show some more screens soon.

OK OK. Sounds good. I can only hope ED has someone who can speak in our goddamn strange language.

Our language is ok....the rest is weird. :smilewink:

The release of planned multicrew for L-39 will come at the same time as the Albatros or this feature will come after?

TBD?

DCS: L-39

Reading in the last newsletter, I'm extremely happy that after the cancellation of the Patriots Albatros there's another one on the way!

I have a few questions about it:

Are the variants going to be modelled, i.e. the C, ZO, and ZA? Possibly even the CM and ZAM?

Are there going to be options for different languages in the cockpit, for example the Russian, Czech and English?

These are the two points which I think that, at least for me, were the main disadvantages of the Lotus Simulations L-39 for FSX, and it would be great to see these in the DCS version :)

ED, thank you once more for developing this wonderful airplane!

From the September newsletter ...

DCS: L-39C and L-39ZA Albatros Coming to DCS World

Another new aircraft coming to DCS World later in 2014 will be the venerable L-39 jet trainer, developed by Eagle Dynamics. We will first release the L-39C variant and then later the L-39ZA variant. This aircraft has acted as the primary jet trainer for many countries around the world for several decades. In addition to its training role, the L-39 can also be loaded with ordnance and act as a light attack aircraft.

...and from the latest one:

Work continues on the L-39 and we are shooting to make the pre-purchase available in November and the beta available in late December.

If they're going to make pre-purchase next month, I would say that a lot of new information and screens will show up. Until then, that's really all we know.

Cockpit language is in my opinion non-issue as it's easily moddable. My personal guess is that they had access to russian version and cockpit will be russian at first.

It shouldn't be a problem, it's only a question of changing the textures and possibly the helping popups. Would be nice to have a Czech version in the initial release though.
