Infirtaris Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Hello enjoying the open beta of the SU-27 and a great overhaul in many ways well done ED. First bug I have noticed is the gear retraction speed seems to be a lot slower and thus during acceleration at takeoff the gear stops retraction above 240 kts approx. Don't know if this is normal behavior but thought I would report. Also I did not see a 1.2.11 open beta bugs section. Just 1.2.7 and 1.2.8
GenericFloat Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Yes, I've found the same thing too, I don't know if this is intentional. I can only retract my gears normally if I take off going milpower, if I am in a full afterburner takeoff I must do a steep 60 degree climb before the gear will retract.
csper Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Also external lights are on Although electric power is off [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
JulienBlanc Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Yes, I've found the same thing too, I don't know if this is intentional. I can only retract my gears normally if I take off going milpower, if I am in a full afterburner takeoff I must do a steep 60 degree climb before the gear will retract. Try this: Fly 410km/h, retract gears. Fly 390km/h, retract gears. :) As expected an excess in speed can prohibit the gear to function properly. ( maybe the dragforce is so great that the tiny wee little system can't oppose this force to raise the landing gear ) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Intel i7-4790K 4GHz H100i 256 GB SSD + 1TB HDD Crucial+ WD Blue 16 Gb Ram DDR3-1866-C9R Mhz Veng. Phearlock Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Clean Su-27 with no gun ammo, full fuel and default weather, will accelerate to mach 3.4 at 45000 feet. I do not believe this is intended behavior.

JunMcKill Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 (edited) Users with Joystick logitech G940 have the JOY_BTN3 auto assigned by the mod in the SU-27 options to "Stick to trimmer control mode", and in the others FC3 aircrafts is deleted, you have to manually assign again to View Center o whatever you use it. JulienBlanc Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 John Stapp was subjected to 15 g for 0.6 seconds and a peak of 22 g during a 19 March 1954 rocket sled test. He would eventually survive a peak of more than 46 g, with more than 25 g for 1.1 seconds. aap_flanker Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Can anyone explain me the engine auto-shutdown logic? Because sometimes i get autoshutdown when i'm doing the tails slide, once also after perform the cobra. I had read that the AL-31 is capable to keep working at this conditions (in fact, this is one of the best features of the engine compared to other engine manufacturers). Esac_mirmidon Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 With the Su-27SK manual in front: When flying between -2/0 G Maximum time with AB ON below 15.000 meters: 3 sec. Maximum Time with AB ON over 15.000 meters: 8 sec. Maximum time without AB below 8.000 meters: 10 sec. Maximum time without AB over 8.000 meters: 15 sec. Repetition of negative G load only after 30 sec of G=1 or > 1. So check your parameters doing a tail slide to know if you are flying more than this time on negative G. " You must think in russian.." aap_flanker Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 I also noticed that when you perform a belly landing, the aircraft rests over the engine fairings and not over the belly pylons... belly landing.trk Intel i5 11700F + H80 | 4x4GB 3200mhz RAM | AORUS ELITE B560M | Samsung 850 PRO SSD 256gb| KINGSTON SA400 480GB SSD | WD 500GB | Gigabyte GTX 1070 8GB | Antec 1200 PSU | Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS and homemade panels and rudder pedals | 24" Samsung T24C550 @60Hz 2ms | Opentrack 3 led clip
Stealth_HR Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Another bug found. After landing and using the drag chute I called Ground Crew for Rearm/Refuel. The parachute cover was left open. On second take-off, the parachute cover suddenly appeared closed mid-air. On second landing, the parachute wouldn't release at all, even though the cover's closed. Airway Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 I noticed several issues with the Su-27 in DCS Worlds 1.2.11: - Trim issues, tends to nose up all the time, not neutralizable with auto pilot. - Brake chute deployable in air - oscillating when fully loaded - backwards rolling and weird spinning with deployed brake chute and 99% thrust after full stopp (SAME FOR MiG-21bis!) - Flat tire animation is bad - MIAFM: Most incomplete advanced flight model Can anone confirm these bugs please?
