Hi all,

I've been seeing some folks flying the Su-27 Beta. But when I go to the modules page I don't see it there. Only a price to buy it, but I already own FC3 so what is happening?

Where can one find the mighty Su-27 Beta?

Regards.

If you have FC3 you automatically get the new Su-27 PFM ;) (just like the F-15C did) so you don't need to purchase it (unless you really want to)

You have to download the Beta DCS World first, then use the module manager to download Su-27. It makes a parallel installation, so it doesnt mess your normal DCS World.

For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra

For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar

Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB

If you've updated the beta then it should be install.. fly it and see...

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

I and at least one other person have an issue with the PFM not being included in the Beta update. Is is possible that there are some issues on the server side?

Awaiting: DCS F-15C

New Su-27: Available of Not?

Hi. Seeing threads about the new PFM for the Su-27. Is it out now? Have not seen any update of the DCS world yet when I start DCS. Just a bit confused. Can't wait to get at the Su-27! I wish they would do an A-10c fidelity like module for the Su-27. I'd pay bucket loads for it...

Ok..thanks. But what does that mean? As an owner of FC3, does that mean I have it now automatically? Nothing had updated lately...

Yes, you have it. There are always two different versions of DCS: World in play:

* DCS: World is the latest stable build.

* DCS: World (Open Beta) is more up to date, but there are no guarantees of stability and it's likely to contain bugs.

You can have both installed at the same time if you wish.

At the moment, the upgraded Su-27 module (which is free to owners of FC3) is only available in the open beta install. It will become available in the "normal" install within the next few weeks.

Try repair. If that don't work delete FC 3 (as in delete the folder or some of the 27 content) and run repair again.

Ok. Thanks. That's very clear. Didn't know about open beta. Think I'll wait until the stable normal version comes out.

Thanks to all who replie.

One question; once the open beta is ready for release will it update our current version or will we have to download and install the version of DCS World it currently resides in?

All things in Open Beta will land in release.

You'll just get an automatic update to your existing install of the "normal" DCS: World.

DCS non-steam: Use the DCS_Updater.exe in cmd to update to the openbeta. Guide: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030

Note that you may need to create a mirror of your DCS folder for it to work.

Steam versions of DCS can do this by going to:

Library - DCS World - Properties - betas

Select openbeta. No code required. Click OK and start the download.
