This in lieu of rubberbanding and lag we (132nd) experienced on our server during one of our somewhat larger missions.. 104th_Maverick Posted January 10, 2017 Author Posted January 10, 2017 Our server is hosted in a US Data Centre on an i5 processor on a 1 up and down connection. The rubber banding you see in the server is down to DCS not our hardware or connection. We do everything we can to make the server stable but sometimes when the server is really busy and there is lots going on DCS struggles a little. The warping could also have been caused by a client with a poor connection stressing the server, we run a very strict ping limit of 330 to try and keep clients with bad connections out however sometimes a client with a good enough connection will cause issues if they start downloading or their ping spikes above 330 while connected to our server and an admin has spotted it yet. Armageddon is pretty far away from bulls, so it's left with only attacking the TA's. Would be great to envolve it in the front-line. The MiG-21 in Op. Watcher spawns at Vody which is also very far from bulls instead of spawning at Nalchik. Same with Op. Bison; they spawn in Sochi rather than in Gudauta. In Fireshield they spawn in Anapa instead of Krymsk. We lose lots of fuel only on the way in. Including the the only excluded jets would be great! No doubt! But now we have AWACS and it's not that you are much safer in a Huey or a Hip. Besides, who says I'll be flying my MiG-15 straight to bulls?! Also I'm sure the servers who only have these older jets would appreciate more clients joining their server rather than clients trying to fly them in ours :) We're going to add a few KA50s at Gudauta on Bison at some point in the next day or two when we get round to it. Regarding the older modules, yeah you're probably right. Let other servers have 'em. Adding the Ka-50's at Gudauta simply makes Bison flawless now! Moving up the MiG-21's to closer airbases on the cost of more popular planes wouldn't be justifiable if the MiG-21 wasn't that popular. She is though. I understand the amount of effort that goes into mission editing from long experience myself so thanks for that once more! S!
