Hey Maverick once we make the autoexec.cfg file and place the connection speed in their do we then need to get rid of the network.cfg file or leave that one alone?

Leave the network.cfg file. There's lots of useful stuff in there. Not sure if it's still used though, in 1.5

Remember also guys, these settings set a top limit on Client throughput. That top limit on client throughput does not matter until a busy server 20++ players and a few hours in. So, they may not improve observed Stability for many, as many of the Client Crashes and instability are from other things in this 1.5. I do still see Warping and AI warping in mission on the 104th from time to time. Watching a bunch of tanks Moonwalk their way avoiding AGM-65D fire is heartbreaking lol

What do you mean by "moonwalk" ?

DCS Wishlist: 2K11 Krug SA-4 Ganef SAM, VR-TrackIR icons next to player names in score-chart

PvP: 100+ manual player-kills with Stingers on a well known dynamic campaign server - 100+ VTOL FARP landings & 125+ hours AV-8B, F-14 crew, royal dutch airforce F-16C - PvP campaigns since 2013

DCS server-admins: please adhere to a common sense gaming industry policy as most server admins throughout the industry do. (After all there's enough hostility on the internet already which really doesn't help anyone. Thanks.)

Sliding in a direction that is not the one they should be moving along. From pop singer Michael Jackson's dance move.

Hi Maverick,

I really feel so sorry for you for MIG-21 issue.

but I really found that there is a map without MIG-21 in the rotation of the server.

I ran out of no way to check the name of the map, but had failed.

Can you check that map and add some MIG-21 in it if possible~~~:helpsmilie:

love u

I made the autoexec.cfg file, and yes, it did save as a .cfg. I put in the requested lines and the 104th TS still says "You must change your network settings to see this post". So I click the link provided and I'm sent back here:http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2510672&postcount=394 Is that an error, or is that message referring to a post that I can't see?

If I connect to the IP provided earlier in this thread, I also get a black screen.

Seems that the autoexec.cfg was incorrectly handled...

http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2523926&postcount=20

so it looks like for 10mbit down/2mbit up you change your autoexec.cfg now to:

if not net then net = {} end

net.download_speed = 1024*1024

net.upload_speed = 256*1024

server hosts should also re-check what their available upload/download speed capabilities are and adjust accordingly.

OK so server settings for 500Mbps down and 100Mbps up will be:

if not net then net = {} end

net.download_speed = 128*512000

net.upload_speed = 128*102400

Confirm? :noexpression:

And in serverSettings.lua

["client_outbound_limit"] = 262144,
["client_inbound_limit"] = 262144,

Confirm? :noexpression:

I was able to get in before and now that ive created this cfg file, i crash immediately at the plane selection screen. It only happens on 104th. Ive got about 40mb down and 10 up. What should be in my config file?

Ok, changed it and it had no effect. I keep getting a "your computer is low on memory" popup and it crashes DCS. Only happens on the 104th server. I have 8 gigs of ram. Single player and every other server i'm logging onto doesn't cause the issue. In addition, I'm able to connect to the 104th randomly and it works flawlessly. As the problem is intermittent, I'm beginning to feel like it's one of the missions, if not multiple. Any theories?

The words "Open Beta" should give a clue :music_whistling:

No worries. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something on my end. It is strange though. I'm almost certain it has something to do with which mission is active.

You can fix this (I fixed it) by increasing your virtual ram/page file in the normal control panel. I changed it to 16 GB virtual ram. (that value was suggested in that window by Windows)

Is this a client side cfg file that needs creation?

Will it help with MP crashes on the players' side of things?

What is the whole file content, name and location?
