Enduro14 Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 No worries just a suggestion thanks for taking the time to have a look at it. I always found it a bit said when a bomb or he rockets land 10 to 20m from infantry and or light skinned vehicles and nothing happens :) Intel 8700k @5ghz, 32gb ram, 1080ti, Rift S
wumas0201 Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 I am so glad that there is AWACS on each map. but how can I connect to these AWACS with my Mig-21?? because I did not see any information about this in brief. I really want to know which channel I can use to connect to AWACS. thank you sir

I really want to know which channel I can use to connect to AWACS. thank you sir You can't talk to the AWACS. The radio on the MiG cannot transmit or receive on the default AWACS frequencies, and I doubt that the 104th guys are willing to change them.
wumas0201 Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 In some map, I actually could connect to AWACS by selecting channel 0 or 3 with my MIG-21. So I know that there must be a way to connect to AWACS, I just don`t know which channel I can use for. if possible I hope that these information can be put in brief~~
104th_Maverick Posted March 7, 2016 Author Posted March 7, 2016 Yes. We will tune the frequency to the EWR over the day or two for the Mig21s. We've already done it on a few of the missions already which is why you were able to connect to them. L39ZA Has been added to the aircraft list! Thank you
D4n Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Maverick, is it possible to only make the AWACS talk to the pilot that requested sth. (if this isn't the case yet), and is there a way to make the AWACS stop talking? 104th_Maverick Posted March 8, 2016 Author Posted March 8, 2016 Getting some feedback from clients regarding the visibility of enemies on Radar. In some cases (not all) it seems to help if the client using the Forward Observer slot enters the Vulcan (Blue Side) or Strela (Red Side) and then uses F10. Several clients have reported to us that they cannot see any enemies on radar using F10 while GCI. After these clients jump into the controllable vehicle they can then see enemy on F10 as GCI. All our GCI missions currently have one unit on each side that clients can enter. On Blue its a lone Vulcan, on Red its a lone Strela. ...Testing continues! It is also available for the Mirage 2000 on V/UHF Channel 14 I got a problem about connecting to AWACS with my MIG-21. In "Leopard" map, I can connect to AWACS by selecting channel 3 in both red and blue sides. It is definitely no problem. But there is something wrong with "able archer" map, I am sure that there is no any problem to connect to AWACS by selecting channel 0 for red side. But in the blue side, I can`t find the correct channel to connect to AWACS. I had checked every channel for connecting to AWACS with my MIG-21 in blue side, but no working. I never change any default channel frequency of the MiG-21. So the default frequency of channel 3 is 131. I really want to know how to solve this problem.
Jester Darrak Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Is it possible to add markers as to where to find that specific unit? Sometimes it's just a pita to find the unit you are able to control and you're stuck on F-10 map. ;2705261']Getting some feedback from clients regarding the visibility of enemies on Radar. 104th_Maverick Posted March 10, 2016 Author Posted March 10, 2016 The EWR is primarily implemented to be used in conjunction with Human GCI, we are aware with the issue on Able Archer. We are not sure what's causing it however as stated the EWR is in mission for the Human GCI so we plan to continue with GCI on Archer. Alternatives to Combined Arms GCI are being looked in to as in its current state its not ideal for doing GCI. Many contacts fade from radar or fail to show when they should be clearly visible to the operator. LotATC would be far more suitable which is what we are looking in to over the next week or so to see if its a viable replacement for Combined Arms. Cause would be nice to have midnight or very early morning mission too. :) (And what about storm or a little fog?) Hadwell Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 (edited) flying the mig-21... I like night, but I don't like low clouds mig-21 + mountains + clouds = SPLAT!!! lol F-15's are at the most advantage in very bad weather, they can just sit above the clouds and look down... unless they don't have aim-120s, in that case, R-27E's are the best, the SUs and mig-29 can just sit above the clouds and look down. night time for me is only hard if I have to go over water, need to fly completely by the artificial horizon and altimeter I'm all for more night missions. Jester Darrak Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 I also vote for more variety in weather/time conditions. Sure, some people will face some tough challenges, but it does not have to be everything at once. Two missions zero dark, one or two with cloud cover, and maybe another one with heavy winds and weather. If life was easy it would be boring!
