Yeah, it would be AWESOME to see the Corsair II be able to refuel from the Viking and maybe even fold it's wings! :pilotfly: Regardless, these mods are the greatest!! Thank you all for allowing us to fly around the boat with them.

So I can't throw in the M-2000 Mod unless I own FC3?

Well, you might need the module of the cockpit or better, you need to own FC 3, but only if you have the M-2000-5 mod or so, M-2000C is an own module now and it might can cause issues

I wish I could have the M2000 mod, but a better version

When I use the throttle, I can't see this thing moving up or down

I'm fairly new to DCS so I don't have any of the estore mods. Can you possible point me in the right direction?

Might I add I'm pretty broke at the moment, bought a bunch of stuff for star citizen hahah otherwise I would buy them. The devs deserve it.

I would like to use the Fa-18C and A-7E mods with the DCS World OpenBeta 1.5.2 and also with 2.0 OpenAlpha. I am flying with the Oculus Dk2 and the carrier environment seems very interesting.

When I first tried them both from their ZIPs on the VFA-113 STINGERS website, I could make a mission with them but they would only appear as AI - not flyable by Player. It appears that the A-7E is closest to being usable - I had to make a minor modification (names?? - A-7ECorsair) to the "entry.lua" file in the A-7E Corsair directory to get it to be flyable by "Player". The cockpit model is in EDM format. I am having some issues connecting my TM HOTAS X joystick to the tailhook and some cockpit view adjustments - maybe there is a "lua" file that needs additions?

The FA-18 Model doesn't seem to have an EDM model - just a lods version - and I haven't been able to make it flyable by player.

I am wondering if this limitation is to be expected at the present time, or is there something I have missed. I have been able to take off and touchdown on the USS Bush deck but not catch a wire - maybe because I can't get the tailhook to come down!! (I know that it is "Lalt+G" ). I can see it go down just fine with the AI Pilot.

Thanks for the great carrier environment

hmm sounds weird...I have the FA-18C working in both 1.5.2 Open Beta and 2.0....the Corsair I just have installed in 1.5.2OB

Never had to make any .lua changes for either one.

my versions are FA-18_113_2.0 and FA-18_ISVA_1.5.1 (both work) and SLUFOCT112015

which version do you have?

I apologize for the lack of support for this mod.

Two months ago I finished work on the new private A-7E mod, which currently in use by our small group. Due to certain reasons, this mod will be not available for public use.

The impossibility of amending the 3D model in the legasy mod and it's partial incompatibility (material in old EDM format version) with the DCS WORLD 1.5.2 makes pointless for me to use and update it anymore.

Morkva,

Thank you for all that you have done with your support so far. You have allowed us to begin experiencing the carrier environment that we all are hoping for when the F/A-18C comes out from ED and for that I am very greatful.

The comment about the A-7E is a huge disappointment. The screen shots I saw of it are spectacular! No worries though, we have plenty to keep us occupied until ED lets go of their Hornet and carrier. Thanks again mate! :pilotfly:

Are you saying that you see them as AI (which I do already) or that you can be the "player" and fly inside their cockpit? (which I can do with the A-7E after a small fix) Even Morkva says he hasn't updated them for then latest openbeta/openalpha.

I have what I downloaded from the Stinger site last week - FA-18_113_2.0 and SLUFOCT112015

Thanks

Whitav8,

Air Group 51 has been flying the A-7E and F/A-18C downloaded from the 113th site for quite some time now without any need for modification. The files are unzipped right into the _Mods folder and activated through JSGME. In the ME we have the A-7E and A-7E2 as well as the F/A-18C and F/A-18A. They are all flyable.

Thank you Morkva! The mods must have been made to be used with JSGME by someone within our squad before posting them on our download forum because that is how we are enabling them.

AG-51_Razor,

So is your version available only to your teammates? Are you using both 1.5.2 openbeta and openalpha2.0?

Thanks

We are using the versions pulled down off of the 113th website and someone within our squad put them into a JSGME folder. It's probably a bit more complicated than that but the actual mechanics of it totally escapes me. I can assure you that these a/c are definitely flyable. The Hornet uses SU-33 controls and an F-15C cockpit. There is limited air to ground functionality with the C model but enough such that you can get in, blow some stuff up and fight your way back out to the tanker!!

The A-7E uses the A-10A cockpit and has a beautiful air to ground suite in the HUD to include the Mavrics with the added plus of having a nice AoA indexor on the left side of the HUD for getting back aboard.

I wish there was a way for me to send you the zip file but it is too big to email.

Sorry, been out of town for a few days....

Yep, with those versions you should be able to select 'player' in the SKILL dropdown...it should be highlighted yellow...

Even though he hasn't updated them they should still work...but the corsair won't look like his screenshots...I believe the gear doors or the gear well interior texture is missing...haven't used the A-7 for a while.

just checked...both mods you listed above working in 1.5.2 OB
