Sierra99 Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Tonight a person joined our server and began using Aim-54s with the F-15. I was inclined to let him off with a warning and simply told him not to do it again...However, he failed the attitude test by saying "what's the big deal, I'm a crew chief and we load them F-15s all the time". So I kicked him...I won't suffer fools in my server and have them messing things up for people having fun. That being said is it possible to ban either MAC address, GUI ID or Acct information? Capn kamikaze Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 "what's the big deal, I'm a crew chief and we load them F-15s all the time". LOL, as if anyone who plays this sort of game would honestly try to pull that one.... Then again, I once visited Lakenheath and one of their engine technicians told me that the F-15E shares the same engines as the F/A-18.... so it's not impossible for a crew chief to not know squat about his plane....

HiJack Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Servman automatically bans playername, ip and GUID so the player actually needs a new DCS World license to get back on the server. In Servman you can set the level of banning based on several triggers.
Wrecking Crew Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 I use Slmod on the Hollo Pointe server and it works well for these functions -- admin commands to load and restart missions, kick and ban. The kick and ban can be done by an admin from the text chat by player name or by their Slmod ID #. Slmod also captures all the text chat so you can review what was typed. The DCS net log will capture UID and IP which is what you need to manually add a player to the ban list. I will share my ban list privately to server operators; it includes the reason why an entry was added. Slmod also has automated kick and ban. I've not used Servman... All released missions are available for free download, modification and public hosting, from my Wrecking Crew Projects site.
Merlin-27 Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 +1 for SLMOD. Banning based on UCID is very useful and effective. If I could get it to record proper gun stats for the P-51 I'd be a very happy camper. NeilWillis Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 I would personally recommend a set of stocks set up in the village square, plus a big pond. If they float they're witches. Bung 'em in the stocks and we'll all pelt them with rotten fruit!

feefifofum Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Still no release date on DCS: Broom either. THE GEORGIAN WAR - OFFICIAL F-15C DLC
feefifofum Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 BFM (Broom Flight Model) is proving to be a significant challenge. Variance in shaft pliability based on the wood in the region of the broom's origin has proven exceptionally difficult to acquire reliable data on, as many brooms are still in use today in these countries. Grimes Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 If I could get it to record proper gun stats for the P-51 I'd be a very happy camper. It was working at one point, guess I'll have to go back in and double check it. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. Sierra99 Posted June 29, 2015 Author Posted June 29, 2015 BFM (Broom Flight Model) is proving to be a significant challenge. Variance in shaft pliability based on the wood in the region of the broom's origin has proven exceptionally difficult to acquire reliable data on, as many brooms are still in use today in these countries. The shaft pliability issue was corrected when the Block 13 brooms were still on the assembly line...(Carbon Fiber Stiffeners and Ball bearing saddle swivels) The only Brooms not modified after construction were the Block 12 (M.I.L.) And Block 9 (E.X.W) models... (Thanks for the actual answers...I downloaded BOTH and will see which I like better.)
