Wow! The mountains are spectacular in that low gravity!

 

Just the other day I was telling my wife how excited I am for more pictures to come back from New Horizons, and she asked "Wasn't that back in July?". Slow transfer speeds and limited communication windows just means we get to keep seeing new pictures and data for quite a while. :)

I am continually amazed every time I see New Horizons images and I think back to the images from the moon when I was in grade school.

Makes you feel sad when you see all these worlds that are just devoid of life. But then again we as humans would probably find some way to destroy it, so maybe they are best left baron and devoid of life.
