Chinese J-15 why not? (for an advanced eastern counterpart)

Hey Guys.

With the advent of the F-18C and Eurofighter modules, DCS worlds needs a decent counter up to the task.

Since Eagle Dynamics is limited from simulating some of the more modern variants of the Russian fighters due to local laws, why not the Chinese J-15?

Also a new map: Taiwan.

This would expand the market to the far east and explore a huge simulation audience potential ensuring the future for DCS series.

The Su-30MKI may be more complicated to do due to a mix avionics manufacture sources, but a flaming cliffs level J-15 with PFM would be possible?

yes I know, no documentation, hence the suggestion to make avionics and radar at flaming cliffs level.

I don't know much about the J-15 but given china's reputation for censorship i doubt much info on it is available... and i don't think we will ever see a 50/50 DCS module that is half modeled as accurately as possible and other avionics components simplified to FC3's level. But i do agree that it would be very nice to have another carrier based fighter to go against the f-18 , all in due time.

Do you have a source of that? I am not implying it's false. I am rather interested in knowing where it does come from.

1.

If ED has no interest resolve the horrible Master problem, ED have no future in Chinese civil market.

In fact, all FC/DCS communities in China have collapsed or on the edge of it.

We know the reason: Nobody will buy games as enshrines.

2.

J-15 is not declassified yet, it could be modeled, for military market only.

There are some pics of J-15:

The J-15 is unlikely along with anything else that's relatively new and PRC only. However, the J-10 or JF-17 seem likely candidates for a Chinese design. They are also a better fit as they have a heavy emphasis on ground attack in addition to air supremacy, just like the F/A-18C. One of the ED guys made a poll about a Chinese addition a little while back asking about such things. I don't think any of the Su-27 clones were on the list but it did include the J(F)-7, J-8 and J-10 (or was it JF-17, I remember it being one of them but not both).

I would love a J-10 or even JF-17 but, I don't think they are too likely to happen, China isn't known as the most open/transparent country around, and these are relatively newish, actively serving types. (Anyway, JF-17 doesn't even operate in Chinese armed forces, even though it is designed and built there, so may be it doesn't quite count as one).

I share the gist of thread though, a non western and modern (or at least post mid 90s) aircraft would add a lot to DCS stable, and I personally would enjoy flying such a module.

Wishlist: F-4E Block 53 +, MiG-27K, Su-17M3 or M4, AH-1F or W circa 80s or early 90s, J35 Draken, Kfir C7, Mirage III/V

If you want to add Chinese aircraft (and I can see the appeal, to a certain extend), why add essentially a Su 33 when you can have the J-10?

J-10 against F-18 and F-14!!

And mirage against mirage 2000 and F1

welp, my dear topic owner, Are you China man?

However these guys never care about China, so we don't need talk to much with them on internet, who cares their words. lol

And REMEMBER it's just a GAME on virtual world, we cannot expect for more, but we have more work must to be finished in the future on the real world.

I just hope we could make their factory have to work for us, and be full fill with the components of J-15/25/35, and there are only China made military aircrafts landing on their military basement. That will be much powerful than the 3D model files stay on your disk, isn't it?

It is based on the Su-33 the same way the Mitsubishi F-2 is based off from the F-16A. Get it?
