Next week or by the end of this week the 2nd round will start and the server should be more stable. Helos at FARPs are hot start, at airbases are cold start. We shall really soon ask a moderator to close this thread and will open a new one dedicated to the 2nd round which will contain the changelog and the new pdf guide. Registrations continue with the same way as before. Squadrons and pilots registrations of the 1st round will be transferred for the 2nd round without the need of registering again. It takes away all the fun of getting your machine up running (and the thrill when you do this and there is a threat). Also I almost always insta-crash when I join such a helo and forget too instantly move my collective to sync it to keep it away from the fully raised position :joystick: I guess there is a reason behind this decision? It's a real bummer for me :( The reason is that if more than 2 clients try to spawn on FARP's they usually collide and it causes issues such as frame drop etc. You would be more dissapointed if somebody crashes on you as he respawn and fill debris the FARP :D Also if you will find any chopper on hot start at an airbase it's cause the parking slots are not enough for aircraft and choppers at it. It was an issue in the statistics script and stopped the functions. Putting the server up in a few minutes again . Makes it easier four you to take care of the "day/night"-oddity and balance the power.

So it would be up to the squadrons and lonewolves that fly also the SU-27 to join the red side. All other planes are available on both sides. IMO there's the chance (or need) to balance the power. :helpsmilie:

Just because it will be nice as a realistic scenario doesn't mean that it will work as a 24/7 campaign for many reasons including for example that the A-10C & KA-50 are owned by a great number of pilots and by dividing them in sides will increase dramatically the balance problem. You can always do an in flight alignment :) Just got off the server where there was a bit of a scrap going for Mozdok. It was one of the best nights playing DCS I've had in a long time :) I even bagged an SU-27 from my Hog with a snapshot from the gun, followed by a sidewinder up his pipe:joystick:. (Happens once every century for me!) One thing that I would like to see though is night missions - bad weather would probably hurt performance too much :(. Also maybe a brevity channel on TS - some FAC-A action would be awesome.....
