I mixed a little, 1.5 Open Beta will available ONLY for owners of open beta of whole DCS ???

 

Not as patch for "normal" DCS?

You can tell the autoupdater to update your install to open beta. Otherwise you will be excluded from the beta phase.

1) I have steam version of dcs world; there will be a "steam" version of the beta, or I have to install a separate client?

2) I have FC3, F86 and A10C modules, they work all three?

Well since Mr. Changelog says 1.5 will be released in a few hours is there ANY recent word on whether the steam open beta branch is getting updated too?

I prefer steam for a lot of reasons (ED can't take that from me) and I'd rather stick to a single DCS install.

Correct me anybody if I'm wrong but I think that EDGE is a new Engine and so it will come as seperate Installation. You dont necesserily need to have DCS World installed in order to install 1.5

 

Its for everybody who wants to take a look at it, no matter what you've installed and what not.

For the steam version, the open beta will overwrite the normal version.

If you want two installs, you can still download the open beta client for the standalone version from ED.

I have the BS2 update from Bs1 module and actually I can't activate it in Open Beta.

Anyone knowif this can change with 1.5 or I can't fly it anymore*?

What says the module manager? Do you have the serial in your profile when you logged in by http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com?

One question regarding the changelog, sorry if it's already been asked.

Does the new clouds will come in 1.5, during the beta phase ? Or this is a feature you want to implement with 2.0

No, 1.5 comes in the form of an update.:smartass:

I wouldn't recommend it. 1.5 will first arrive in the open beta release version, which is bound to be plagued by bugs. If you want to have a stable version ready keep your old install. It will be updated automatically just like always, when it is deemed ready by Eagle Dynamics.

I don't play 1.2.16 any more. Just waiting for 1.5 to start again. Stable or not, I'm not gonna back to 1.2 :no:

 

So if i understand right, open beta means a paralel game version to the stable one? 1.5 will not update over 1.2?
