I agree...info on the Harrier, as far as the US is concerned, is a NAVAIR issue. They're pretty tight-lipped with their documentation on aircraft and other current-use equipment.

Hmm... maybe somebody translate?

Trzeba jednak przyznać, że mała sylwetka utrudnia wzrokowe znalezienie go w powietrzu i nie należało tracić go z pola widzenia.

Give me "flying telephone pole" (SA-2)!

They may not be able to do a flyable AV-8B but a GR-7/9 may be possible and it has no radar to model (uses the same one as the early Hornets) if ED did ever want to do a Harrier.

I guess that would depend on the Brits. They've got things locked up pretty tightly too at the moment, so I won't hold my breath. Besides...just think about all the "Waaaaa!!!! I keep crashing my Harrier right after take-off! This game sucks! Boo-hoo-hoo!" threads it might create. Yikes! :D

There was a Black Shark video posted on the forum a few weeks ago that just showed the Harrier and it launching an AGM-65.

There is also a video from a year ago showing the same thing.

Imagine you let the blades clash at some sltitude, in a normal chopper, yes, standard config. choppers have it as well) the only thing you can do is pray, in the Ka-50, you give a fine jolt at those things crushing your balls, and off you go, no point saving something that is unflyable. Lets hope ED finishes the ejection sequence, as in that alpha video, the dude still rode a seat and there was no hatch jettisoned. And, judging by EECH (and an ejection test with a mi-8) it should not happen that quick, the whole sequence takes 1-1.5 seconds (until the traction lanyard is fully stretched).

That video was from the TBS software, not lockon. Although similar, the same, they arn't. TBS also has FAC human controlled, doubt BS will have that.

So just because you saw a video of it, dont expect anything. (Even though I would very much like the Gr7 to be EDs next project over anything else).

That wouldn't have anything to do with FOD would it? I promise, no comments about Jaguars or Austin Healeys...Brits feel free to slam Ford and GM...NO PROBLEM. :D

A bit harsh there Fudd, for 30 yrs the best/only VTOL aircraft in the world. A sensible buy for the US Marines who understood that a Navy carrier captain wants to be way out at sea sinking enemy ships, the nearest Air Force jets might be 2,000 miles away, but helo in a couple hundred feet of PSP, a radio and a few fuel blivets - Hey Presto, you have a Marine Harrier airbase. When the Sh1t hits the fan, the only folks you can rely on are your own folks...
