The thing that put me off the old releases of Barthek's mod were mountain textures changing with distance (coloured, rocky texture when flying close, switching to snow white texture when flying further). Judging from the clip above, this effect seems to be much less visible in 4.0 (that's why I'm considering trying the mod once again). Is that correct?

Barthek is definitely a true artist.

so beautiful! Amazing job on the video, and I'm also a huge fan of Barthek's work!
Thank you. Barthek's mountains are really breathtaking, photo realistic. I should have pulled up a bit, to take in the mountain range, better. What a sight!

I didn't personally notice any abrupt transitions, Art. To me, the mountains seemed highly detailed, even at a considerable distance. The mountains are really cool looking.

Great piloting skills. Thank you for the video!

Thank you very much for your great mod, Sir! I had a wonderful time sim flying through your mountains. What a beautiful view! I don't know how you are able to achieve such photo realism, but what a great view! I think I speak for the community when I say that we really appreciate all the effort you put in to this wonderful gift to our flight sim community.

Yes that piloting was very precise. Gives a whole new meaning to using geographical cover.
