Darkwolf Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 (edited) Hi There, I'm Pierre Wolf. Project Vodka* is a soviet themed squadron actually in development. The project is to create a beginner-friendly wing that may serve as a first multiplayer experience for DCS loneplayer. We have a Mig-21 squadron nearly operationnal and started preliminary work for CAS/Heli platforms. *name subject to change. We are looking forward for 1 - 2 experienced Mi-8 pilot for our upcoming light attack squadron. We look forward to the following : Native or very good english. already played Mi-8 in MP games. Solid experience as Mi-8 pilot Willing to help grow the community Europe based (well, all the country in the southern emisphere are fine too, it's just a question of timezone) 18+ Task will be to advise and assist the creation of the Light Helicopter tactics and squadron. This will be a mixed Ka-50/Mi-8 squad. If you wanted to devellop a squadron but did not felt confortable doing it alone, this is your chance ! We already enjoy the Mi-8 on a regular basis. Squadron development will start in January. We usually fly week time, evening after dinner. sometimes on weekend when wifes allows ! Beside Russian themed planes, we keep a "fun week" for all of our guys to fly other planes so don't worry about the upcoming mirage or gazelle taking dust. :) For the others who hope for a Mi-8 squadron, hang in there ! We know how thrilling it is to land a pack of helis in the heat of the battle. Work has already started, We'll do our best to make that happen soon but we want to do it good ! :smartass: Best Regards, Pierre. WinterH Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Hey, I certainly am experimented and not experienced in Mi-8 :) if only I had more time to fly lately : )). I've been saying over FB I'll fly the MiG with you folk too but never got around to it. Wishlist: F-4E Block 53 +, MiG-27K, Su-17M3 or M4, AH-1F or W circa 80s or early 90s, J35 Draken, Kfir C7, Mirage III/V DCS-Dismounts Script
Darkwolf Posted December 9, 2015 Author Posted December 9, 2015 Yeah Sorry. in French it's "expérimenté". I felt in the trap. :D Let me go in detail over this "experienced" thing, I mean : Someone that is able to plan and execute a complete a mission, from navigation to weapon use, basic emergency, landing where he wants to. I do not ask for a crack who is able to shoot 100% in the center and avoid 10missiles in a row. :D (well if you do, that's even better !) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] PC simulator news site. dotChuckles Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Don't you mean experienced? ;) "Solid experience as Mi-8 pilot" is ok... "Solid experience as an Mi-8 pilot" would be more correct ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
TomCatMucDe Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 I hope you are as good pilots in the Mi-8 as in English. In this case, would you be interested/motivated to join us? :)
Havner Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 In this case, would you be interested/motivated to join us? :) Quite proficient in the Ka-50 and UH-1H. Mi-8 is still on TODO list ;-) Waiting for the manual to be translated fully. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
BitMaster Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 (edited) I love the Mi-8 and was asking myself why I am not yet assiciated with a wing/squad again as I used to do for other fligh sims way back in time ( EF2000/TAW/F22 series with the 214th.com VFS ). If you still look for Mi-8 pilots, I am applying herewith :) Other Modules are ok too, though I dont have mastered every module I own yet, there are just too many to learn them all at once....one by one..I am on my way about half through HAHA. I own all modules but the Hawk btw and focus on the Choppers, Mig-15, MiG-21 and some props these days....it's so overwhelming and so much to learn. Good for years to come ;) Bit P.S. I dont use Facebook, and never will. Darkwolf Posted December 12, 2015 Author Posted December 12, 2015 Hi Guys. I just sent PM to Slazia, Cibit and Bitmaster. I'm a little bit streched between all the various internet supports where DCS players are meeting so sorry for the delay in answers :D I'll probably start up with them, along with a guy that I got thru Facebook. We'll prepare the root of the upcoming squadron and then welcome more people. I really wish I could welcome everyone but that would be an incredible mess afterward :) I'll post up update for those interrested in joining in later. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] PC simulator news site. molevitch Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Asked first got ignored GG. Hi Eaglefox, Glad to see you using Christina A for your avatar. I designed and made that outfit for her. It was originally done for a Rolling Stone magazine cover, and again for the Candyman video. Never met her, but made quite a few for her for music vids. I am sure you were not ignored! Just pulling together names for the squad. I want to apply too. Experienced KA-50 pilot, and competent Mi-8 pilot too. And some experience playing online multiplayer too, though had no time last few months..... Fluent in English and French if that helps! M. Darkwolf Posted December 13, 2015 Author Posted December 13, 2015 Hi Guys, we are creating the structure for the squadron. Please a little bit of patience :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] PC simulator news site. Also....Join the largest DCS community on Facebook :pilotfly:
Slazi Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 It's good to see people excited about the Hip. I'll have to put my deathmatch / navigation server up again soon.
Swordfish Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Not experienced in anyway, but if this get up and running, would be interested in flyin the Ka50 or Mi8 with you folks.
BitMaster Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Hi Guys, we are creating the structure for the squadron. Please a little bit of patience :) Relax ... and have a Vodka on the mechanic ;) Is there any TS server we will/can use meanwhile ? If not, we should apply for a lic to get one going soon. I might have the option to hop onto a friends TS on a rented root server in germany that he uses for BF, Red Orchestra and others...witha TS server on top. That TS should have a channel for us to begin with, aka I may have the option to get a second instance of TS started and we have our own, I rather prefer that. Give me a beep if I shall check that out for us. tovivan Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 I have a question: do you already or do you plan to have a public server? Would be nice to fly with other Soviet-inclined pilots, especially if the missions are good (the reason I abandoned 104 server is beacuse their total disregard for the Mi-8 and refusal to include it in their missions), but not with all that comes with being in a squadron.
