Aircrafts NEED for DCS

Declassified information regarding the Soviet era jets should be easier to get than Western counterparts, leading to realistic simulation of aircrafts.

 

As we will be getting Hornet in the coming future, a full fidelity Su33/Mig29K is needed to counter that, along with full carrier ops.

 

The Black Sea Map has always provided opportunity to ED for development of extensive Naval Operations, but strangely they choose to ignore this aspect in favour of Land Based Operations. :(

 

The Naval Air Operations part is the most less developed since the Flanker/LOMAC days. :noexpression:

 

Hope this changes with the Hornet & Strait of Hormuz Map and we also get to see a study level Su33/Mig29K. :)

at the beginning they asked for an f-18 then an f-14 and then an f -4.but why?

 

f-4 was replaced with f-14, while f14 was replaced by f-18.

 

practically f-18 has the same roles as f-4 and f-14 ---------------- but because you do not ask for something new.

I think it has to do with the persons age. People tend to idolize the jets they grew up with during the era those jets were in service.

 

So those people from the Vietnam era are going to want the F-4, A-4. The people that came after that the F-14 then the F-18. And now the newest generation wants the F-22 and F-35.

Anyone older than these generations are going to be interested in the Century fighters or WWII fighters.

 

So it pretty much comes down to what generation they grew up in.

No, we won't get a MiG-31. Russian gov isn't very cooperative with their newer stuff, older less capable craft than.it have been expressly forbidden. It will be ages, if ever, before a MiG-31 is seen in DCS.

Ok, I was hoping that ED would be able to get some informations about the MiG-31 from the US government or from whoever spies on the Russians. I mean the US or some of their allies like the Japanese were able to get a few MiGs because of traitors who switched sides. I just was not sure if they also got the MiG-31, too.

A Tornado GR1 would be a welcome addition, TFR if implemented would be great fun. I suspect ED would need an AI navigator though as the GR1 needs 2 crew for full mission capability.

I think some bombers would be nice, like a F-117A, B-1B or a B-52D/G/H, SU-24, Tu-95 or a Tu-160

 

otherwise i would love to see a Tornado IDS and ECR and an F-111F
