Hello. When I started the game (1.5 Open beta) today The F-86 is still in beta "on the F-86 icon" and there is still no english flightmanual in the docs folder. I then also ran DCS_updater.exe in the bin folder, but still no update of the F-86. What should I do? :helpsmilie:

are you sure you have the open beta installed?

please attach your logs folder zipped and I will take a look

icon has been reported.

Just the way the system works, patches are pushed to open beta before going to the public release build, shouldn't be to long

My manual is 367 pages long and in english C:\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\F-86\Doc

Sure ...

Mine is also 367 pages long, but there are still alot of pages where text are marked up in yellow, Russian text and missing pictures and places with

just checked mine and you are correct, I have enquired internally will let you know when I know more

Thanks for following up.

No big problem, since we have lived without the manual for so long and I don´t put so much in the terms Alpha, Beta or Release version anyway, cause the borders are not that clear anyway - main point is that all modules makes constant progress at this time.

The Update is currently only in open beta branch.

Well, that was confusing. I thought on 1.5 public release there would not be any more 1.53 open betas and 2.0 would be the future alpha/beta test environment. Anyway the 1.53 open beta install had to go, I was running out of SSD space and needed to re-install my P3D/photo scenery.

If the release is going to take a long time can we have the beta in 2.0 alpha?

The ALPHA is for testing NEVADA terrain only

The open beta is for testing patches before release

It should not be to long before it is pushed to release version

eventually 2.0 and 1.5 will merge, but no date yet

Sorry,

but I'm still confused about this - I've done an update and a repair, and the updater says my version 1.5.3.51417.46 is up to date, and my Sabre icon in game says it's 1.5.3.beta - is this correct or is something failing to update please?

I'm still rather new here - is the problem due to my having installed the `1.5 public release rather than the 1.5.3 beta of the game?

Oh, I don't seem to have a manual as such, just a collection of screenshots in DCS World\Mods\Aircraft\F-86\Manual-En along with something calling itself manual.txt...nothing vaguely looking like a manual....I bought the module last weekend, incidentally.

There are two versions of 1.5, the beta and release. The F-86 only got updated in the beta version, the update for the release version should follow along in a day or two.

Thankyou very much for that, I had a feeling it would be something along those lines -

as somebody said earlier, it's a bit confusing to talk about releasing it and it coming out of beta when it's actually being released for the beta.... :-;

So, the way it looks is, if you already own the beta version of the F-86, it will be updated when the next update for 1.5 is released?

It is always best to not fly too fast or fly too slow. So I fly half fast. :D

I'd just like to thank the devs for doing such a great job in getting the Sabre up to release standard. Just updated my DCS install to take a look and I love all the little tweaks, cockpit updates, on the inside, bump mapping and weathering effects on the outside :)

I guess it's time I got back to updating skins now that most of the big changes are behind us.

Thanks BST!

I really wonder how it can be regarded out of beta, when only released for the public DCSW open beta version.

The manual alos looks rather unfinished.__

Colleagues, we apologize for the manual, which is still not completed!. But this is a big problem with the quality of translation from Russian "Military Aviation language" to English "Military Aviation language". So help us enthusiasts (for example - ED tester "derelor"), but it's a hobby for them, and not the work. In addition, corrections must be done quite a lot of...

So it's not going as fast as you want ((..

But we all together try very hard!:)

OK, so lest just say Im newer than the guy that just said he was new here, so this might be a redundant question. I bought F-86 on the Easter weekend deal. I got a beta version i guess, got it,no problem. My question is do I have to take some action to see a new "non beta " feature ? or can I just wait a day or two or a few and my game will update in the routine DCS updates.

and is there anything significant I can expect to experience with a full version ?

Thanks guys sorry for asking the same question that has already been asked three different ways already.

The change log mentions a "two-stage" gun trigger. What is that?

How do we review the gun camera footage? Where is it saved to?

Thanks,
