I remember this about 1993. At the time didnt have any clue on what VR is.

Just check those big headsets. The whole setup must've costed a fortune at 1993 prices. The platform is practical for limiting movement and not bounding into stuff.

To be honest this game was from late 80's and was my first combat simulation and I realy think it was awesome. And than come On Amiga 500 F16 Combat Pilot.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F-16_Combat_Pilot

Something even more better with real weapons, cockpit and instruments.

Than Falcon 2.5 and all rest is history.

Yeah. While F15 Strike Eagle with wireframes was fun, Falcon 3.0 was the game changer. Of course, I still loved Gunship, and Flight of the Intruder, and Knights of the Sky, and F19 Stealth. But Falcon 3.0 started the "real sim'ing"

I suppose I have to include Janes Apache and of course LOMAC later on.

Now try to imagine where we are in 20 years...

The holodeck of Star Trek is a definite possibility then. The the whole body can be motion tracked like the Vive controller.

I never even knew there was an F18. But maybe it was only for an Amiga. I did play Gunship for *HOURS* on my Tandy 1000 :) And "John....Elway's Football"

Good times!
