Bet you never thought anyone would address this, did you?

How many have had crash landings or crashes in bases and then seen these guys sitting idle and get somewhat pissed about it......

What if in the future updates, we make them mobile along with some fire crew infantry, and make them respond to any kind of fire whether its on the ground, or on an aircraft either on the airbase, or somewhere nearby?

Also we can make it so that if the base is operated largely by a certain faction country, they have a firetruck from a company from that country? Like if it's a Russian base, then they have Ural trucks, if it's a German or European base, then they have Mercedes Benz trucks, if it's an American base, they have trucks from Ford, Chevy, or Man.

Something similar can also be done for a rescue team on the airbase? Where either if called upon, or if they detect nearby, they can scramble a rescue chopper or flying boat?

Just an idea though which I thought maybe we could add. Open for thoughts and ideas :book::thumbup:

Then somebody could write a mod that every time the AI-Fire-Department had to deploy, when they arrived at the smoldering AC, they take a screen shot and post it automatically in the 'Heroic Landings' thread :megalol:

I know I'd keep them busy on most evenings :smilewink:

I don't think that's a good idea. It would add to the lag in mp and probably impact performance as well. Besides that, there are more pressing issues ED should work on IMHO.

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

I'd definitely not want that truck alongside a burning aircraft!

But I have to agree with the last post, there are far better things to work on right now than having the Trumpton fire crew show up every time there is a crash.

Nice idea, but not really that relevant before most other wrinkles are ironed out.

But at least can it be kept aside for later or future development and addition?

Good idea, but we should have a groundcrew at start up and weapons loading to:)

I'd love it too if a ground crew would clear wreckage from the runways and taxiways.

That would probably be a bit too much, I think trucks going to the scene and extinguishing the fire is good enough

I remember the aircraft marshalling in Digital Integration's Super Hornet. which was quite a feat for a simulation. Bringing the airfield to life; having a working ground crew, especially a crew chief and some aircraft marshalling on the ground would add a lot of immersion to DCS.
