Exactly... I don't have any problem knowing the Hornet won't come out this year.. but the way they've said that it will not be available...

How can it be delayed without a release date... guys... chill.

 

Again, another post from the F/A-18 thread.

 

Anything other than a date with an early access release is very much based on a best guess at the time and is no way a promise. The alternative is that we give no estimated dates.

 

I think the use of the word delayed was poor in this case... things can come up that were not foreseen, but no hard date was given for this or any other release in question, so its hard to call it delayed.

Its the 2.5/Caucasus that frustrates me.... look at my previous post.... 2.5 was such a priority that they kept saying we would get it this year. But now its said in the russian section that we won't, all while the newsletter that just came out made it sound like they had very little to do left on it...... It just doesn't add up

The real disappointing thing is not the delay, we all understand that. The problem here is that the RU users are getting clear-cut answers, whilst EN users are not.

ya and it was said a few more times in August as well. Its like what Chizh and the newsletters have been saying are from different worlds

SiThSpAwN, We know the great work as the ED team has makes and has working, and the Friday news not has write in stone but with the Chizt info, the community has a little on shock...

Aircraft Carriers

 

We see 2016 as a big year for aircraft carrier operations as we plan to release both Nimitz-class aircraft carrier and Kuznetsov-class aircraft carrier modules. Both of these modules will be incredibly detailed models with working elevators, interior hanger bays, animated ship systems, and the ability to walk around inside the ships. These will be optional modules that would replace the existing ships currently in DCS World.

 

If some delays has put on that projects, with a concise and extense develop update say "by develop problems A. B and C we have move the modules X, Y and Z to X or more", surely the community appreciate them.

This discussion is for the newsletter updates, please stick to that. Official updates come in the forum of newsletters. Everyone is aware of the chatter on the Ru side, I hope we will get some clarification through the next news update or two. Discussion beyond that is kind of pointless.

Sith, I would normally agree with what you are saying. The problem is that the 'chatter' on the RU side of the forum is coming from the head of the company, the guy Wags works for, which makes it rather hard to ignore.

 

I don't give a flying chome ball about update details being a bit more prevalent on the RU side, but when the head of the company is saying things that bely the company's official announcements, it is a cause for concern. It makes one wonder how 'in the loop' Wags actually is, or at the very least, if he speaks Russian well enough to understands what he is told.

Its not a point of not agreeing. As I said, I understand his comments in reference to final releases, not early access. I hope for more clarification in future official updates.
