javelina1
I'm flying MP, and I've tried unchecking "allied flight reports" and "radio speech". No Joy, the d*mn AWACS keeps yammering away! Would love to shut him up. Especially with my A/V 5.1 cranked, that guy gives me a headache. What am I missing? Demon
Turn the radio down? That's what I always do.
javelina1
I'll try both, thanks! :-) Update - rshift + n x2 did reduce the yammering a bit. I turned the volume down (in the MiG-15), but that didn't seem to help too much. On the plus side, I was flying in the Georgian Spring server, and caught a Sabre just a 1/2 mile after it's takeoff. Amazing what a 37mm can do.... VTJS17_Fire
When you fly a DCS aircraft, you can change the radio channel. MikeMikeJuliet
To be fair, there should be a way to reduce the interval that the AWACS reports. Now it's nonstop at worst. That, and the terms and labeling the AWACS uses should be reworked. Now it just seems to report single targets instead of group labels. Btw, if I fly FC3 aircraft, does the radio menu allow me to leve the AWACS frequency? Or is it just with DCS aircraft? bkthunder
This has been a problem since Lock-On. Never fixed, never will. The awacs is pretty useless anyway. Unfortunately in FC3 there's no way to change frequency... Demon
IIRC, RShift + M changes communications mode. Press it several times in rapid succession to cycle (pressing it once only displays the current mode). Edited September 12, 2016 by Demon
shab249
Have you tried setting receive mode (rshift + n x2) to own messages? It works even in fc3 jets?
HiJack
The solution to this problem is of course to make radios that works in all aircraft's! I Can't understand why ED haven't done this already.
