The new Spitfire MK IXs are scheduled for delivery soon, no more messing about with those Yank aircraft and all those blinkin' switches.

And whilst it's been jolly good fun stooging about in these captured Jerry kites, it's time to do some proper flying.

Intelligence chaps are talking about a big op in Normandy coming up, so get some sleep and no propping up the mess bar. Training starts immediately our new aircraft arrive. Try not to break them.

Seriously though, only reason I didn't start posting at 1201 AM looking for it was because I didn't want to be the only one waiting up all night to see when she arrived. Can't wait.

 

P.S.

When I say knok them down in my 109, I literally mean...like, knock them down. I'm a horrible flier. I have to actually hit them, to knock them down.
