Today, VKB HQ is getting all pending Gunfighter orders ready for shipping tomorrow (keep in mind the timezone there is UTC +8 ). Stay tuned.

Great news, eagerly awaiting mine as I'm sure many others are. Hope the MCG pro isn't too far off.

went to check VKB north america website to see my status, and now its asking for credentials?! whats going on?

Maintenance is going on. :) Updating to SSL for a more secure user experience across the board. Also, I am going to add Stripe as payment gateway, and hopefully some time soon Amazon Pay as well. Those two need SSL on the server.

So, how easy is it to "restore" the Warthog grip to its original after modding it to fit on the Gunfighter?

Just reverse these steps: https://vkbcontrollers.com/?product=tm-warthog-adapter-for-gunfighter

One more question!

So, if necessary, would there it be possible to communicate to the courier to leave the box, e.g., in our garage, without signature if I happen to be out of town for the delivery? (I still have not got the shipping notification yet, so I am assuming that it is unlikely that it will come at the end of this when I will be out of town, but just in case ... )

I wish that were the case but nearly all foreign packages require a signature for delivery. Sucks because in my case, they always seem to attempt a delivery when nobody's home, then it is off to deal with the postal worker that isn't all there in the head...

I believe they'll hold the package there for two weeks before the send it back though.

Same fate here!

I already own a Black Mamba Mk.III used as a side-stick, a Gladiator I use on my thighs (w/ a support) for Elite Dangerous/WW2 airplanes, and now I can't wait to use the Gunfighter Pro with the helos (and the Su-27).

I even tried to purchase an ECS throttle to mod it as a collective lever, but, unfortunately it didn't managed to go through my nasty customs

MCG soonish…

That's probably what happens when you're so rich you own and fly so many different space/aircraft…

We're lucky (and doomed). :smilewink:

Thought I'd share this with you - Gunfighter Pro w/ TM Warthog grip and dry clutch damper in action - I hope you DCS helicopter pilots might like this.

Note: With a stronger spring, eg. VKB #50, the stick will return automatically to center without oscillation. So that might be a valid setup for fixed wing pilots. :)

Makes me cringe seeing this gimbals used for such easily achieved kinematics... literally the lowest hanging fruit on the vine is center-less damping and can be achieved with a much simpler mechanism than VKB's beautiful cam centering gimbals. It's like watching someone use a horse to pull a sports car while they sit on the roof :p

Here's some dead simple gimbals that behave exactly as this configuration in the video, http://imgur.com/a/jTw6H which unless I'm mistaken are technically related since the friction rubs I've been making which rely on Nyogel 767a (heavy damping grease) like the those are sort of what led to the 'dry clutches' in the first place :)

Just one of the different use-cases the Gunfighter can be configured for. Nothing more, nothing less. :)

Yes... But after I am over flying a chopper, I can go and fly a fighter jet, WWII fighter, or a spaceship, and not worry about changing the stick.

This will vary on your situation, however...

I order stupid mounts of expensive gear for my business, I'm usually installing said stuff at a client's place when the next bunch of stuff is delivered, so...

I spoke to the courier (requires you knowing who will be the courier, of course), and asking for an "authority to leave" form. I then fill out the form, leaving specific instructions to leave said stuff in an open room outside the house, that has a lock. All the courier needs to do is close the door and ensure it's locked.

Now, I've also printed a page with the shipping info, my name, date and signature as an authority form once, and it worked - same deal "please leave in room at located at blah blah, please lock door when done".

Seeing as they have a signed form, dated, with the required data, they are usually happy.

Otherwise, if the depot is not far from your home or work, you could probably elect to pick up from there.

Thanks for the info. Wow, that's a lot of hassle! In any case, as I still have not got a shipping notification, it appears, for better or worse, that this will be an academic issue in this instance ... no delivery this week :( :) But good to know for future reference!

Depends on how good you are at flying with no hands and no stick! ;)

From the guide, you have to disassemble the base to get at the clutch tension screws ...

That is that's what I was afraid of glad I ordered 2 bases LOL

Neither have I, and it's Thursday (0230) at VKB HQ. Maybe Rainer can provide an update. Delays notwithstanding, delivery time is quickly becoming an issue for me as I'll soon be on vacation. I pre-ordered and ordered among the first but I'm not sure what will be the advantage of having done so.
