Yes I've been trying to test it on a dedicated server in PG map.
It only works in a local server that I make and run the mission on it.

You have to install the mod on the server machine, IIRC.

Also, I am not sure they work in any terrain other than Nevada. Something to do with the assets not being placed at the correct elevations.

If I have time I will test with the PG map on my dedicated server to see if they work in PG.

Does anyone know why only the blue sealand containers are visible in ME & the mission?

Disregard: I deleted the old file downloaded the new one and it seems fine again

I have a problem with this mod, unfortunately.
I have downloaded the newest version (14NOV2019) unzipped it and put the 476RangeTargets Folder in the path .../saved games/DCS/Mods/tech folder as described in the manual.

It seems that DCS does not accept this mod, because although the folder is in the right place, all the objects can not be found in the ME. They should be in the structures folder but they are not. Does somebody know what my mistake is? Thank you.

It works on my DCS ... double check that you have the path correct, sometimes people duplicate the 476th folder:

On the ME the mod objects are prefixed with an asterisk:

It is in the right place. ...Saved Games/DCS/Mods/tech/476RangeTargets....

In the ME are just the standard objects available

Check if you have a folder inside another folder. I mean, inside tech you should have the folder with the mod files, not another folder called 476rangeTargets, and inside that, the mods flies.

Another solutions could be that you have the folder mod, by mistake at the same time in the DCS Tech root folder, instead of the users folder.

So, I checked them all. The file structure is exactly as it should be. No double files or anything.

In the ....saved games/DCS/Mods/tech/476RangeTargets folder are the three folders "Shapes", "Textures" and "Themes" and five .lua files.
The problem is obviously not the file structure....

This this mod honour the historical filter, or is that only for "drivable" modules?
Cheers!

Yes, just tested and the objects will not show up if the historic filter is enabled. I understand that the filter can be useful when selecting vehicles or weapons .. but, for static structure objects?  ... why it would be useful on that case?

Sorry for my silly questions - but the dcs.log file is to be found where exactly?
There are several logfiles in the folder ....saved games/DCS/logs/.....
Is this the right folder and which logfile do you need?

Where can I find this historical filter? Although I do not remember that I activated this filter.

Okay - thank you. I tried enabling and disabling that historical filter without success. The 476 vFG Range Target Mod still not working... 😞

That's odd. You didn't by change put them in the core installation folder, even if you have them in Saved Games now?

No, I did not. In  the DCS main folder "D:/Programme/Eagle Dynamics/DCS World/Mods/tech" are just the Supercarrier folder and the WWII Units folder.

But I think I have found the correct dcs.log file. I put it in the appendix here....

dcs.log

@JG5_Wolke the log states

2024-09-12 15:56:04.437 INFO    Scripting (Main): plugin: SKIPPED '476 vFG Range Targets by Noodle & Stuka': disabled by user

Can you enable the mod? I forgot the exact location, but somewhere under the cogwheel on the main menu probably. Good luck!

Go to the module manager, (the 9 little squares next to the setting wheel on the home screen), once there go to the installed tab, scroll down and enable the mod.
