Avio Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 A little confused here - Is the Belsimtek Huey of AFM or PFM ?
Pocket Sized Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 I wouldn't worry about that, as the Huey's FM is EXTREMELY good. But technically it's an External Flight Model, because it comes from a 3rd party developer. But then again BST does work closely with ED so it might be a PFM... the world may never know. DCS modules are built up to a spec, not down to a schedule. In order to utilize a system to your advantage, you must know how it works.
ebabil Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 i guess all helis in dcs are pfm. i may be wrong FC3 | UH-1 | Mi-8 | A-10C II | F/A-18 | Ka-50 III | F-14 | F-16 | AH-64 | Mi-24 | F-5 | F-15E| F-4| Tornado Persian Gulf | Nevada | Syria | NS-430 | Supercarrier // Wishlist: CH-53 | UH-60 Youtube MS FFB2 - TM Warthog - CH Pro Pedals - Trackir 5
grunf Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 For me it is AFM (= Awesome Flight Model) :D. By ED's categorization, I guess it would be PFM. 1
Siemek Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Can't wait for R[ealistick]FM which include the air flow around the buildings, ships or mountains.
BaD CrC Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 Can't wait for R[ealistick]FM which include the air flow around the buildings, ships or mountains. Don't hold your breath on that. I don't think any sim really managed to do that. https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden
cichlidfan Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 (edited) Can't wait for R[ealistick]FM which include the air flow around the buildings, ships or mountains. That would not be part of the FM but part of the DCS World environment. The article you linked is nice but it is not about Flight Models and software like that would cost you significantly more than what all of the DCS modules, put together, cost currently. Cibit Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 The real life huey pilots I fly with are happy with the flight model. Thats good enough for me, though they do say the N2 droop is more like the kiowa than the Uh-1h i5 8600k@5.2Ghz, Asus Prime A Z370, 32Gb DDR4 3000, GTX1080 SC, Oculus Rift CV1, Modded TM Warthog Modded X52 Collective, Jetseat, W10 Pro 64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Adding JTAC Guide //My Vid's//229th AHB
Eight Ball Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 Can't wait for R[ealistick]FM which include the air flow around the buildings, ships or mountains. Like others have said, this is pretty neat but probably not going to happen anytime soon. I also doubt many here actually own a computer capable of handling this kind of calculation + AIs + weapons ballistic + graphics, etc... 1 Find The Links To All My Mods And Liveries Here (in the gallery)
cthulhu68 Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 The Huey is PFM and ASM. As good as it gets. Under technical support/ general is a chart listing all modules level of modelling.
