Kuky Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 hm... I seriously doubt this would be allowed but... maybe the best thing would be for ED to give walmis the 3D model from the game itself (the one they have created) and for walmis to work from that. The ED model shape is really good it could only use more detail... rounding it more... things like that. it would save tons of work. No longer active in DCS...

olli Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 And what about the updater ? When I try to fetch the updates for my new install of Walmis modell, it tells me that everything is up to date.
Kuky Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 same here... it says everything is up to date, but I am missing textures around the gun and engine intakes. The rest of the model is fine. No longer active in DCS...
Guest rattler1 Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 F15 Model @ Walmis I can just only imagine what you are feeling. I as one of the F15C drivers can relate a little to how you must feel. I would like to give a GREAT Big Thanks to you and the people that helped in your Project. You are the man in 3D Modeling. It was a beautiful piece of work and getting even better with the updates. The sad thing is we almost had it, which makes this all the harder to take. No blame to you my friend, accidents happen to the best. I will always have your model with me as others will I am sure. I am sure if anything could be done all you would have to do is say the word and your support will flow in. I hope you understand how much of an impacked you have had in the community and how much this community thinks of you , words can not begin to describe it. I just wanted to let you know , as if you don't already know, how highly respected you are and always will be. What you have contributed to this community goes without saying, only wish some how we could show you. Guys is there a way. If any man deserved to be recognized by a flight sim. community it would be Walmis. Cheers man keep in touch with the community. F15 or no, your posts will always be read and very much welcomed.  :pilotfly:
Prophet Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 I would be willing to pitch in, if Walmis is interested in continuing.Heck, I would be will to pay extra for the work he has already done. This is definately 1 mod that is worth paying for!
OldFrankHog Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Yup definetly. Like all those mods for FS9 and FSX that ppl pay 10$ or 20$ for. I wouldnt mind at all giving 20$ if it helps get the model back. After all Walmis is the one who put all that time in making it so we can enjoy it the least we can do is help him get it back. If I was taking all the hours it must have taken to get this model the way it is and then lost it... P.S. Walmis it's not like you would be selling your model to customers. I would much rather consider us all as friends helping a friend out of a tight spot.:pilotfly: Join us today!!!
walmis Posted March 10, 2007 Author Posted March 10, 2007 hey guys, thank you for your kind words, maybe sometime in the future i will be able to get it back, but for now I'm gonna leave it. I updated my sig, and inculed an update download link. 2
Kuky Posted March 10, 2007 Posted March 10, 2007 Thank you walmis for the F-15 model... it's great the way it is now already... it is a bummer you lost all your hard work like that. :( You're a legend! No longer active in DCS...

Shotsx74 Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 Thanks Walmis, well done with what you had so far. Again, excellent job.
hitman Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 Smll question: this compatible with 1.02? Yeah yeah I know I need FC...its being worked on as I speak but still...cant get it to install at all.
rattler Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 Smll question: this compatible with 1.02? Yeah yeah I know I need FC...its being worked on as I speak but still...cant get it to install at all. Yes it is compatible with v1.02. Download from Walmis sig then download the + update. Use these in loman2.1 or put them in their correct folders manually. It works!!! Not 100% complete but better than original IMHO. Easy on the attitude. You may need help again.
hitman Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 No attitude...just curious here. Its not letting me get past the install button though. Asks me for the installation folder, I prompt one and the install button is greyed out still.
rattler Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 Bump...any ideas? Just a sec and I will send you my downloads. Lets see if that is of any help. We can take it from there if you have problems. Ok. Got to send it to you in PM. Too large. Watch for a PM.
hitman Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 Just the individual files from the installer package...thats the problem Im having right now.
Kuky Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 Walmis, I have to say you've done a really good job on this model... I say thins because even though I've used it for a while now, only yesterday did I try and change that F4 view and placed the camera just in front and slightly above the canopy so I can see the pilot, I can clearly see how nicely rounded the whole model is, which is really easy to notice form this angle, and how much more detailed is compared to defauly F-15, and even more, to default A-10 or Su-27 model... yuo've created a really nice model of the F-15... thanks again! No longer active in DCS...
