Downloaded 2.1 Can't Activate Normandy Map;

Downloaded 2.1 via normal update process. Normandy does not show up as an option to install via the module manager.

I have the same problem. Updated to 2.1 with no problems but see no way to install, just have the icon with the option to buy. I'm logged in, I go to my account and it shows as bought. So what now?

 

EDIT: Okay, I just updated Skate Zilla's most excellent update utility and it sees the map and assets pack and I'm installing that way. Fingers crossed!

I don't believe that I have to use a 3rd party app to get content I paid for...

this to me is so wrong, I see my purchase on the DCS website paid and waiting;

I load the game 13 gb update and no access to Normandy wtf

The command line instructions above are not a 3rd party app. It is part of Windows. You are just doing manually what the Module Manager would be doing if everything was working correctly.

but I don't understand why the module manager cannot locate the map, I see all my other modules which are many but no Normandy

and apologies, just eager to fly this map but the solutions offered seem rather drastic

It seems the module manager has had some issues, overloaded the server possibly

 

ED are looking into it.

 

can you attach your dcs.log, guide in my signature

 

also if you use the refresh button lower right in the module manager it can sometimes help

in order that command work you need to change the directory to the DCS install path -> bin. Then you can run dcs_update as per previous recomandation. It works for sure unless you really want a refund... in this case it will not work :D

The App isnt required, it's just an alternative, the Module Manager had some issues as stated by Wags.

all good seems the patch that came through on the weekend worked a treat and I'm now happily crashing my spit into the Normandy turf

 

such a good sim and 2.1 just looks awesome
